I will be at POP in March and will need to get online during my stay. I heard that they have data ports available but was wondering what exactly is needed to get online as well as the steps.
I plugged into the port using my phone line I brought, and dialed the local number for AOL. It was .75 each time (cost of dialing out), but you can stay connected as long as you wish.
If you check the Pop Century FAR OUT FAQ thread, the first page lists local dialup numbers for the major ISPs. There is a 75 cent per call charge that will be billed to the room. The data ports are located on the wall next to the table and chairs.
In the little table area, just inside the door there is a spot under the table that has data ports, and best of all if you wanna use the net while on your bed you can also use a data port that is located on the side of the phone in your room! Hopefully that helps!
