Using 4-Day Pass in Three Days?

I have a question for you all! We're doing a long weekend trip for my mom's birthday. We're planning on buying tickets and will be there for 3 days. My question is, instead of buying a park hopper ticket could we buy a 4-day ticket and on one of those days use one "day" ticket at Disneyland and another "day" ticket a California Adventure on the same day? Hopefully that makes sense :)

It's cheaper to do a 4-day ticket rather than a 3-day park hopper ticket and we normally only spend a half-day at California Adventure anyway during short trips.

Aw, bummer! Well it was a good idea lol

Thanks for answering my question :)

When are you going for the long weekend trip?
Limited Time Special Offer Ticket = $260 for a 3Day Hopper

We're going next month for my mom's birthday! I saw that deal (which is fantastic, btw). We're planning on doing that but thought we could take it even further and do the above instead of a park hopper. Me and my penny-pinching ways! haha I'm not used to purchasing day tickets, since we normally have annual passes.

We'll probably just end up doing CA on our fly-in day, as we really don't spend as much time there anyway so it's not worth the $150 extra to do park hoppers.

I’d hit up guest services for an over ride - I’ve previously asked for an extension of days and they were happy to assist me (just made notes on the back end of their system)

Worst they can say is no :)
