Hi, I'm planning to go to Universal Studios Hollywood the Friday before Easter. I'm wondering if the park will be really crowded and if I should get the VIP pass or just the Front of the Line Pass. Has anyone been at the park during this time?

I'm also trying to decide on hotels and I'm considering the Renaissance or the Hilton. I can get about the same rate at both, but I'm not sure which one would be better. I'm traveling with my 12 year old son & we will have a car to get around.

Thanks!

We Universal mid August, did FOTL and had no problems but it was extremely busy. Had a great time. Good luck.

Personally, I don't think it is worth it. The park doesn't have a full day of things to do, so waiting in line will not prevent you from doing things you want to. Of course, if you want to do to things a few times and not worry about any lines...get the pass.

I'd definitely say get the pass (or do the VIP Tour and get even more and FOL access too ;)) because the lines at Universal in the summer are crazy!! Well, they were in 2004. ROTM had JUST opened though. But JPRA was a lonnnnng wait too. You can see all that USH has to offer in a day but why not just get the pass and enjoy the park even more!!

GreenGirl8 is the first person that I have run into that enjoys standing in lines. The park is very busy during the summer. Go early, get the FOTL pass for later, do as much as you can get done, do things more than once, have fun.

Hi, I don't like lines either. I'm definitely planning on buying the FOTL pass, but was wondering if the VIP pass is worth the extra money. I'm going with my 12 year old son. Does the VIP pass have any thing extra that a 12 year old would enjoy. Thanks!

They give you a more in depth tour of the studios. If you know nothing about how movies are made, it is very cool. It is not one on one but is in very small groups. You have opportunity to get out and walk around on the different stages..just more personalized. Plus all the other goodies. We went behind the scenes of Waterworld just for starters. All depends on how $$$ you want to spend. Very much fun.

Have a great time,
