I was talking to my coworker, I remenber reading somewhere, maybe here. That opart of Disney World or somewhere aroud it was not officially part of the US.
I was trying to rember the story of why or how this came about, I tried searching here but I am not getting any hits. Could someone explain it again.

All of Disney World is officially part of the US. I'm going to take a guess at what you are slightly misremembering...

WDW is located in the Reedy Creek Improvement District. This is a special government structure allowed under Florida law that exempts Disney from many rules and regulations. RCID sets their own building and zoning codes for instance. Disney is very careful that the only people who live in WDW - and thus live in RCID - are a handful of trusted Disney employees. Though technically an independent government agency, RCID is essentially an arm of the Disney Corporation, leading some people to view WDW as being "outside" the government.

i always wondered about that. now i know :)

So does disney have their own cops? and what about celebration is that part of that improvment district?

I really thought I remembered something completely different than that. And that it was only a small section of land. And it might not have been at WDW but was owned by them or Walt.
