I f anyone is thinking of booking a holiday at the moment listen carefully i will say this only once lol

my holiday with virgin flights to pop century i booked through tcs direct.

the same flight/hotel with virgin direct was £350 more expensive!!! :surfweb:

....and next time TCS will be more expensive than, say, Jetlife!! its all swings and roundabouts, getting quotes from ALL major operators then playing them off gaainst each other is the ONLY way to bring the cost down.

i didnt play them off just spent some time on the site putting in the holiday dates and getting results they have been diffenrt prices for months.TCS IS THOMAS COOK SIGNATURE BROCHURE. i also book my med holidays through portland direct because its cheaper than the thomson brochure but the same company.I dare say if i gone to virgin they would have offered me the same price, but why bother..

THOMAS COOK SIGNATURE have a price match on we got a quote with going places which was £2500 for 4 and we went to thomas cook which was alot more expensive but they matched the price then gave us an extra 10% off as my dh is in the raf ,

I think getting good flights/holidays to Florida is all about being in the right place at the right time!
We always have to go at peak times - due to kids in school and DH being a college lecturer, so we know what it's like to pay peak prices!
Next summer we wanted a flight, car and villa for just three of us! I managed to get Virgin flights through opodo at £640 each (£850 everywhere else), and have shopped around for a villa to suit us etc.. In total for three of us in high summer it has cost less than £3,000. To book the same holiday, direct with any travel company works out hundreds, if not thousands more!!
Saying that, I did a search for flights last night, and the cheapest with opodo now, for the same time next year, have gone up to £750 - and that was with Iberia - a 32 hour flight to orlando!!
Am I glad I got those Virgin flights when I did!!
It pays to keep looking, and doing like for like quotes, so you know exactly what you're getting!

Castanea1985, just checked flights with Opodo after your comments, so glad I booked them when you first mentioned the great deal you had, as ours have gone up by £490 for the 3 of us - same price as Virgin were orginally quoting.

Am going to book our acomodation this weekend hope that hasn`t gone up yet!

So my advice would be if you see a good price go ahead and book it as soon as you can.

Seconded!!
My DD has been trying to book a last minute deal with her DBF (their first holiday on their own - came to Fl with us last summer), but have kept waiting for a better price.... and yes, you've guessed it... they're not going anywhere. She should have let me sort it out.. I found her some great deals about a month ago!
Two years ago, I got 8 nights (room with WiFi and balcony) at Courtyard with Marriott, LBV, with Airline Network for £200 (fantastic deal at £25 per night for the room).. within minutes of booking, the offer had dissapeared..so..
... as KatiesDad said... if you see a good deal.. snatch it with both hands!

I took my price into Thomas Cook for airtours and they pricematched it. Saved £560 pounds on the same holiday.
