Lately our family has been bowling alot. I've been trying to find used bowling shoes for my DD9 without success. Our bowling alley charges $4.29 for shoe rentals.:scared1: By now I could have bought her a pair (new). :confused3 If I can't find used shoes I'm probably going to get her a new pair ($35 +/-) and get them a little big so she can wear them for awhile. She's currently wearing a 2-1/2 in the rental shoes.

If not used, has anyone bought their kid's bowling shoes at a local store? I would love to get a good price, without having to pay for shipping.

Anyone have any ideas? TIA

Kmart actually sells bowling equipment in their stores.. try there. I'm an adult and my shoes only cost about $29 :goodvibes

We just went through this with my son who is growing like a weed, but needed shoes for the school bowling team.

There are a number of online places that sell shoes and have free shipping - just google bowling shoes retail and you will see a bunch.

We ended up buying them from the pro-shop at the lanes he bowls at though because we received a discount and they were on sale. You may want to check around different alleys and at least have her try them on for fit before you order online, although I live in the bowling capital of the world :rotfl: and have a lot of choices!

Check Dick's Sporting Goods as they also sell them

Good Luck!

I bought DS a pair on ebay. I would check with the pro shop where you bowl, ask them if they have any used because we found with alot of bowling items that when people would buy new ones sometimes they would turn in their old ones.

Also if you're going to be doing any league bowling check with the other parents in the youth league, the serious bowlers usually have their own shoes and someone may sell you their outgrown ones.

Sporting goods stores sell them, but I haven't priced them there. I didn't see where you're at, but if you're in a state with a Meijer they may carry them, too. DH got me a pair there years ago.

If the bowling alley your frequent has a bulletin board, perhaps put up a sign about you looking for used shoes.
