Some interest was expressed last year about having a used book exchange. I told whomever (I can't remember) that I might try one after the first of the year. This has been tried a couple of times and only successful once that I'm aware of. So since I'm not hosting another exchange for a couple of weeks, I thought I would take this one on. Please do not confuse this one with the "Favorite Book" exchange. That is for new books only. This one is for "used" books.
If you would like to participate, please PM me the following information:
DIS name
Your name
Address
E-mail address
US only (yes or no. If you are willing to mail out of the country you must agree to use air mail. This is due to the length of time it takes when you use parcel.)
I will also need the name, author and genre of the book you would like to exchange. You may choose to exchange up to three books. It does not matter whether or not they are paperback or hardback. But there is no guarantee that if you send a hardback, you will receive a hardback.
NOTE: The books you exchange must be in very good condition.
Signups will continue through Tuesday, February 28. Once I have compiled the list of books to be exchanged, I will contact each participant with the list of books for them to choose from. Depending on the size of the list, I may have to contact you via e-mail. So make sure you don't leave that off of your initial PM.
I also want to add, though I hate to say this, occasionally, we have a participant flake out on us. They sign up and then not send anything for whatever reason. Then the exchange host has to find "elves" to fill in for them. Not meaning to offend anyone, but please do not sign up for this unless you are sure that you can fulfill your obligation. Due to the nature of this exchange, i.e. everyone is receiving a book that they picked out, there will not be any "elves" on this exchange.
To make this exchange a go, I need at least 10 participants. Hope to hear from many of you!
