Use Year Question????

Quick question...

If we normally vacation Late Feb.- Early March, what month/use year should I be looking for to make the best use of banking etc...? We will probably stay at our home resort (looking at OKW) 90% of the time. Also is Late Feb.- Early March considered a busy DVC time?

Conventional thinking is to get a use year just before your usual travel period. That way if you need to cancel there is plenty of time to use the points.

DVC seasons change beginning of February (Dream season), then again at Mid-month (Magic season). Crowds at WDW pick up at same times and again March 1st when spring break season begins.

But use year is not that big of a deal, one to four, five or even six months before your usual travel time will be fine. The only time it comes into play is when canceling. If you are looking for a resale and everything is perfect except the use year is Sept or even Aug, it will probably be just fine. If you are someone whose lifestyle seems to always have you canceling trips, Nov thru Feb would be better....but its not that big of a deal.
