Use year question

We have a December use year and we normally go in September but 2018 looking to go for two weeks from the 30th November. I have some banked points in to 2017 and all of the 2017 points, with the dates we're looking at going does this mean it is in the 2018 use year and I will need to bank my 2017 points to use them, bit confused by it. thanks

She may also have trouble booking that stay because it crosses use years. Not sure the "book 7 nights from check in feature works online when you have to cross use years. If that's the case, she might have to book 11/30 and then call MS to book the rest.

I believe it would be two bookings with 2 booking dates.

The folks on the phone should be able to make one booking that crosses use year with the +7 benefit, but it would be two if done online.

thanks for the info, so it looks like I'll be best ringing to book the reservation and then it will be one reservation & not two

Depending on what you're after, that week can be quite fierce. I would not wait the hour and call for anything like AKV Value, BLT Standard or BWV Standard. For that week, I would also not call for a VGF Studio.

Once you have the two reservations, you can call MS and they can combine or link them.

It does get a little tricky crossing use years. But the good news, if you have to wait list a night, you get 2 per use year.

A couple of thoughts. First you will only be able to use the points banked into 2017 for the first night of the reservation. So that brings up the consideration whether there might be any points lost. As noted, this does pose some challenges since it crosses the UY. I'm not a big fan of walking but since you'll have to call anyway, you can't book the entire trip at one time without waiting an extra week and it's allowed, I probably would walk in this situation. I'd likely book the last full week of Nov then call every 3-4 days, cancel the applicable days not needed and add the days on the back end. You can bank points as needed when you call. They may have to end up reallocating the points for the Nov 30th but that's a small issue. When you call just remind them of your overall plan and that you need the banked points from 2016 to be used for Nov 30.
