I know I have read this somewhere but I can't find it anywhere now... Go figure! Please point me in the right direction if you can.

I am wondering how many contracts have been sold with each UY or which ones are the most popular UY. ie December seems quite popular

This was done in 2012 - the UY's vary by resort.

UY's are originally chosen by Disney when they sell a new contract, it doesn't mean that the UY was/is popular. BLT was sold with a February UY for the longest time and if the buyer didn't insist on a different UY they got February. Only Disney knows why they sell certain UY's more than others.

Thanks for posting that link Denise. I'd only seen the general chart before, never the breakdown by resort.
Can't believe how extremely skewed BLT and AKL are!

New to all this. Why does it matter? Are you trying to match up your contract to another to add on points? Or is it just for fun?

BLT had a long pre-opening sales and DVC chose February to be the earliest UY to get points, six months before opening, so a lot of the new buyers got a February UY. My DH, wdrl did not track AKV's opening as those sales had begun before we purchased, so no information on those early sales. The opening UY for sales of a new resort is sometimes chosen based on 6 months prior to when the resort is scheduled to open. But it usually moves to another UY after opening as months go by. But then PVB is still using the December UY for sales that it opened with and it has been open since April.
