Use Year - on 15th not the 1st??

I have some friends that own DVC - purchased direct from Disney at SSR - September Use Year. I'm not sure about the year they purchased although it's been at least 2 years since they bought.

Anyway, we were discussing a possible Labor Day trip and the wife told me that they actually don't get their points until the 15th of the month instead of the 1st and that their banking deadline is April 15th as well. The husband said the same thing about the dates a couple of days later too.

I have never heard of a Use Year that wasn't on the 1st day of the month. Has anyone? I usually feel like they know DVC pretty well, but sometimes they'll say something and I think they don't have a clue!

UY is on the 1st of the month.

I agree with Bill. The only things that can be on the 15th are loan payments and monthly installments for annual dues.

I agree that they are probably mixing up with their payment date.

And maybe they were trying to not book a trip when you go for Labor Day? Because they don't have any points yet?

With a Sept UY, their banking deadline would be April 30.
