Use year dilemma

Our anniversary is end of August. We rented points and went to WDW for 6 days this year. We decided while there that we want to do this every year. What use year would you get or does it matter? I was thinking August, but I see a Sept contract that I like.

If you plan to visit in August, a September contract would be your worst option. Go the other direction if you need flexibility; June would be a good choice.

The reason for the above is because you want to travel at the beginning of your use year, not the end, in case something happens and you need to cancel and bank points. Well, cancel 31 days before the start of the reservation to bank

Either August or June if you think you may go in July at all.

The goal is to keep your travel early in your UY, so you can still bank or move things around if you have to cancel.

August, June, even March or April are all fine.

I'd also do some homework on what months your preferred resort tends to have the highest # of on the market for the options that work best for you. Might not be a big deal, but some resorts tend to have way more contracts for some months vs others and this might help in the future for you to have more options if you want to buy another contract. Ignore this if that doesn't apply to you

We gave up on UY. We travel in March and October so we wanted a March UY but it doesn't seem to exist and it's the only month that works for how we vacation.
