Can someone please clarify how the use year is defined by DVC, specifically when it is used in conjunction with an actual year?
For example, my use year is April, so if I say my "2009 use year" would you take this to mean my year beginning in 2009 (i.e. 4-1-09 and ending 3-31-10) or my year ending in 2009 (i.e. 4-1-08 - 3-31-09).
We just purchased DVC resale and through the course of all my discussions/questions/research etc. , I became accustomed to thinking use year referred to the year beginning with that date, but when I look at my member profile on the DVC member site, I see that the points I have coming this upcoming April 2009 are actually listed under "use year 2010".
This seems inconsistent with everything else I've read (posts on the rent/trade board for example) where use year seems to be defined by the beginning of the year.
Is this just another non-defined, confusing thing that will cause me to check, double check, and triple check transfers etc. or is DVC really right?
Thanks for your help
