Use Year Confusion

My use year is September. I want to book four studio rooms at BWV in May 2015, but I'm not sure I have enough points. I have 122 pts. in my 2014 UY which is not enough. But, I have 450 in my 2015 UY. Can I borrow from the 2015 UY, or since the vacation is May 2015 would that be considered my current points. I am so confused! I think right now I am in the 2013 UY until the last day of August. Please help!

Those 2015 points would be borrowable. They will not yet be active as you will still be in your 2014 use year in May of 2015.

That said, you have plenty of points to do what you need.

They are active now. For September, your online account should show 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. 2015 can be borrowed now for a stay in the 2014 use year (subject to 11/7 month window). For May 2015, the home resort can be reserved in June and use banked 2013, current 2014, borrowed 2015.

Think about it this way, September is your January, your calendar year starts in September. You are currently in your September 2013 UY, next September starts your 2014 UY so your vacation will be in your 2014 UY.

A word of warning, your vacation is outside of your banking window, your 2014 and borrowed 2015 points must be used before the end of August 2015 or you will forfeit them.

Your 2014 Use Year runs from 9/1/14 - 8/31/15. Since your travel is in May of 2015 it will occur in your 2014 Use Year. You can use all of your 2014 points and borrow from 2015. If you had any 2013 UY points you could bank them into 2014 and use those as well.
