Use Year/Banking Points Question

Hi Everyone! I'm new to DVC - we just bought direct from Disney in December with Riviera as our home resort. Back then, when I scheduled our summer trip, who could have predicted Disney would be shut down (and may still be closed weeks later). My problem is with my use year. I have a September use year, so technically I need to bank points in April. So, does that mean I need to bank by April 1 or does that mean I have until April 30? The trip itself is in June and likely will be unable to be rescheduled for any other week in the summer since the summer right now looks pretty booked up if I don't bank. My husband is a museum director for the Railroad Museum of Pa - being closed for weeks may impact his ability to take off work this summer (we fear) and I am a teacher - which may mean I need to work all of June. I have tried to look this up online through my DVC portal with Disney and it just explains banking with regards to use year but not specific dates. My son's 16th birthday will fall over this trip, so I'm sad we even have to consider this.

Thanks for the quick reply! That is good news - it gives me a few more weeks to decide what to do. I don't want to have to cancel unless I really have to cancel.

Same boat here had a May reservation with a September UY. Decided to cancel at our 60 day mark so we didn't have to have money locked up in a ticket. We rebooked for September but with your situation sounds like that might not be available based on your careers/kids.

If you do have to bank try to look at upgrading to a bigger accommodation to at least get something out of the delay (we went from studio to 1BR)

We are lucky and have another short trip planned for October. But the banked points we'd probably use for another trip perhaps the following year. I don't know what is going to happen since my husband is a museum director and his ability to take off a week of work in June might be pretty limited. And I might be teaching the whole month of June. Who knows?? I'm just going to wait until mid April or end of April and then decide. (And pray really hard that it won't be. I even have a cabana booked at Stormalong Bay for our first morning. )
