I've found some great rates on Travelocity and Orbitz for the moderate hotels. I was just wondering if anyone has booked just the rooms thru Travelocity or Orbitz. We don't need tickets, just the room.

Hi!

I used Travelocity for a quick trip in early May to Wilderness Lodge. I got a great rate (I think it was about a 30-40% discount) and was even upgraded from Courtyard View to Concierge when I checked-in! I also had a good experience with Travelocity's customer service when I called them on the phone with some questions about the booking. I would book with them again in a heartbeat if they run another sale when I plan to visit WDW.

I had considered Orbitz but they did not include Magical Express with the booking and when I called them to clarify this issue, an hour's worth of calls to their customer service number left me very frustrated.

I agree with you about their customer service. :thumbsup2 I have only had good experiences. I think the best rate on a hotel would depend on what your travel dates were. I would shop around.

You’ll generally get a better selection of WDW rooms and much bigger discounts via Orbitz or Travelocity than if you book directly with Disney CRO. You will also get much better service most of the time.

Yep, we got a great rate for CBR using Travelocity last year. Everything went smoothly.
