I've never used SkyAuction for a hotel but have purchased condo weeks quite a few times. You can get some really good deals on those. My last trip was a week in a two bedroom at Cypress Palms that I got for $220. A friend and I will be staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek next week, I think that week was $320. We've also stayed at Celebration World and Silver Lake for similar rates.

I think it's a great deal!

back in 2008 we stayed in Summer Bay via skyauction for around $220 for the week. You might want to try the hotels & accommodation board also for this posting too.

I have booked Orange Lake and Silver Lake in FL, and Carriage House in Vegas. I don't believe they have OL available anymore.

I love skyauction. The best deals are the seven night certificates for $249 plus $20 processing fee. The total for 7 nights is $269. I have gotten the following condos since I started using skyauction in 2005 or 2006...I really can't remember when I got the first one.....
Grand Beach, Cypress Palms, Cypress Point, Orbit One, Summer Bay, Celebrity Resorts now called Legacy Vacation Club (Spas), and Silver Lake. My favorite was Grand Beach but it is rarely on there, next is Cypress Point, but again, it is not on there often. Of the remaining ones listed my top choice would be Cypress Palms because it has a 2BR that sleeps 8. The second bedroom has 2 full size beds. It is a clean and safe place. It has a nice activity room with games to check out, movie night by the pool, and free popcorn! Hope this helps!

I have gotten them as little as $149 per week with no processing fee
and as much as $249 with an additional $20 processing fee

Here are the places I have stayed:

Florida Vacation Villas
Cypress Pointe (walls are thin!)
Westgatge MainGate (NEVER GO HERE!)
Summer Bay (a little further out but very nice)
Orbit One
Celebrity Resort

The only ones I would not pick again are Westgate and Cypress Pointe.
