I am thinking of doing lunch at Ariel's- will the photographer use my own camera also? What about the photopass people throughout the parks?
thanks Jill

Yes, you can hand the photopass people your own camera and they'll gladly take pictures. :)

I havent been to Ariels but throughout the parks when I was meeting charactors there was someone with the charactor who would use my camera for pictures. The photopass people would also take pictures with their camera if you were using photopass. I never asked the photopass people to use my camera though so I dont know about that.

they let me
i ordered photo pass too especially when I got home and could edit and add to it

yes all the PP photographers we saw were happy to use our camera as well as adding photos to our PP. And yes, at AG you are absolutely able to take your own photos. In fact the only time there's a PP photographer is when you pose with Ariel herself, the rest of the Princesses just come to your table. :)

Can I use my camera for these shots? the ones they come around to sell?
thanks Jill

Yes we have plenty of Ariel photos from our camera, we don't buy the pp pic every time. :) If you don't want the pp photo just tell them "no thanks" when they bring it around, it's perfectly fine. :)

At Ariel's, the Photopass photographer would not take my camera and would not let me stand where he was standing--so the pictures of my children with Ariel are from a totally different angle. I think it is because it isn't a real Photopass photographer, rather it is a photographer who takes pictures that they then print and bring to you at your seat to sell to you. Pretty darn annoying if you ask me!

Other than that there were no issues with using my own camera and other Photopass photographers in the park were always willing to use my camera as well as their camera.

Wow, when was that? I'm surprised they didn't. I have always been able to get that photo with my own camera at every character meal I have done since 2009. If the PP photographer didn't take it than another CM standing there did. I've done that for Ariel's and Goofy's Kitchen. I didn't think to ask for M&F the few times I have done that.

Thanks... I have a pic of my dd at the age of 5 with Ariel and she is now 17 so I would like one but don't want a "package" or spend all the $$$$

Ummm the ONE time the pp person didn't move, I stood in front of them and took my own picture with my own camera. Every other time they've happily moved for me. :)

Oh my gosh I've never heard of such a thing!! That's awful. I'm pretty sure I would have made a bit of a stink about it. That is so not the disney way.

We were just there 3 weeks ago --jan 7th --and had no such issue. In fact, the pp guy did his pix and then asked me if I wanted him to use my camera. I told him no thanks I'd do it but then he said "don't you want one with you in it too?"

We have always had that same type of experience! They have been so helpful and I actually end up in some of our photos :rotfl:
