Use Fastpasses during early morning hours?

I just realized we have early morning hours the day we are going to MK. Should I book fastpasses during that time or save them for right after that? Are the lines pretty fast during that hour? Is there any rides that do book up even in that window? Last trip we weren’t able to get on Splash Mountain or Space Mountain, the whole two days we were in MK. But only my husband goes on those so he wouldn’t be in two of our FP.

FPs are not available during Extra Magic Hours. I don't have any experience attending EMH because my plans usually avoid the park with EMH (more people on those days), but for MK I would probably make FPs for 10:30 or later, because lines should be shorter during EMH and RD, and then as crowds pick up toward 11 use those FPs so you have a decent chance of getting another same day or two (since at MK there are so many options)

If you're referring to EMH then no....don't book the FPs for that first hour. I don't think you can make FPs for that time anyway. Book them around 10:00 or 10:30. The park tends to start to get busy around that time. You'd be amazed how many rides you can knockout in that first hour before other guests enter the park. I can clearly remember doing about 4 rides....one twice during EMH!

Fastpass+ is not available during Extra Magic Hours.
I would not start pbooking your FP+ until at least an hour after regular park opening.
At MK especially I generally go for 10:30, 12, and 1pm. (Leaving a bit of a gap when I'll be eating lunch)

Last trip I made the mistake of making afternoon FP selection because I thought mornings would be easy. It was an epic fail on my part. BUT to my defense, my family screwed up my normal RD routine and plus I forgot that Frontierland was not open for EMH. I would also do later morning selections because those first 2 hours are usually easy to get a bunch of rides in providing you stay in one area!!!! When you try to hit PP and then run to SM and backtrack to SDMT your two hours are done. If it is regular park open I can complete Frontierland and Adventureland for the most part in 2 hours. Now EMH is different. I usually go to fantasyland and get that accomplished so we can wai in line for Frontierland. I usually FP SM, BUzz and Spash ( I don’t do splash in the morning even though there is never a line for it. Nobody wants wet at 9am) just get a plan and stick to it. I let the family get me sidetracked last time and we didn’t ride nearly as much as we should have been able to.

We actually really like morning emh at mk. We go straight to 7dmt then do pp next. Depending on time we might throw in pooh or small world then head over near haunted mansion and wait for them to open that area. We then book our FPS about 30 minutes after the park opens for splash or btmr. We almost always use our FPS on the 3 mountains
