Can you use an expired Fastpass ticket? If you had a fast pass ticket that ended at 11:00, and it was 12:00 - could you still use it?

It is up to the cast member that is at the entrance to the fastpass queue. That being said I have never had a problem using a fastpass after the one hour window printed on the pass had passed. I think that the vast majority of the people using fastpasses use them within the window of time on the FP, so that the few who fall outside of that are not enough to throw the queues off.

Generally, you should be able to. They'll never let you use it early, but, although Disney doesn't publicize it, they generally will let you use Fastpasses late-- even several hours later the same day. This may not always happen, though, but it seems to work 99% of the time/ :thumbsup2

Our ADR time ran into ours once and we didn't have a problem, on another visit we were not all together for the Little Mermaid show and I asked the CM if she would give me 2 for the people that were on the other side of the park and she did! When they arrived I showed them to her and she smiled.

AH..... Do you want the official rule? I am sure there are those that will hop on you for this, but I say, Yeah you can use it. I have been told by CM's that they only look at the start time and not the end. If your ticket is past the current time, then you can go. Now there may be situations where this is not allowed. Probably when a ride is closed for fastpasses because they have all been taken. They may be more strict about it.

Leave this post out there long enough and I am sure you will get someone to post what it says on the back of the fastpass. Lots of people get hot about this issue. Be prepared for them accusing you of "cheating" the system!

I have often used past the time window, though as said, I suppose, for some reason, the CM could hold the window as the rule. Never heard of that though.

Howdy there Dan,
I can't believe that someone who has spent enough time on these boards to rack up well over FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND POSTS (!!!! :hourglass ) has never heard reports of a CM stopping those trying to use an "expired" FP.

There have been many reports here of folks who were refused on (specifically) Soarin' when it was very busy.

OTOH, I have used expired FP's (same day) on Soarin' without any problems.

So it just "depends" like so many things at WDW.

we've never had a problem using expired fastpasses at disneyland.

however, we did get hassled at tokyo disneysea using an expired fastpass for indiana jones, but the cm let us use it anyway because we acted like stupid foreigners.

1) Some people have not had a probelm.
2) Others have been turned away.
3) If it is busy, don't count on getting in after the time.

I was told by several cast members that the Fastpasses are good until the park closes that day. You just can't use them BEFORE the starting time.

Here is the deal....

Fastpasses technically "hold your place in the line" during the period that you would normally be standing there waiting to get on. A CM CAN deny late entry with your fastpass. Although they generally don't - if busy, they can and will.

Technically, the pass expires at the end time of the window.

Dw and I once arrived 2 min early for a Fp (my watch was fast) and was made to wait. However had several CMs at the Fp lines say they would honor them at least several hours late. This was at Soarin, Sm,Tot and Rnr. Even heard someone at the park brag about using a 3 day old fastpass because Cms mostly look for times not dates. That being said, I would suggest if trying to use one a little late just not being upset or disappointed if Cm refuses admittance after window passes

Until our last trip over Easter, I'd never heard that you were allowed to use FPs after the fact, but I read it somewhere...so we tried it. We were very polite to the CMs, and usually said something like, "We know we're late for our FP time, but may we please ride anyway?" We were not turned away for any rides, and the CMs all said not to worry about it, that as long as we weren't early, they could let us on. It certainly made for a less stressful tour of the park, knowing that if we were a few hours late it was okay. However, if they had turned us away, that would have been okay too, since technically we WERE late. I think, though, as long as it's not super busy (although for us it was Easter Sunday!) and you're nice about it, CMs will generally let you on.

hmmm .... so this must be the "trick/scam" to getting more than one FP per person per party.

Sad, people always find a way around every rule.

On my most recent trip 6/20 - 6/30, I was told that the FP is good up to closing time of the park by a Florida resident. I had not heard of this rule, always went by the times indicated on the FP, so I went to City Hall and asked the question for myself. They told me that the FP was good all day for that ride, but not prior to the time indicated on the FP. If you are denied entrance to the ride to contact another CM, to have if clarified. I used my FP's the entire trip with that policy and never had a problem.

I knew we couldn't get through this thread without one flame!! Oh well, most people let the OP know what is the Practice/policy/"scam" that is being done. Don't think twice about using the fastpass when you can... Although I probably wouldn't use one from a previous day! That may be pushing it! :goodvibes
