With the popularity of the Disney Apps use while at the parks, can anyone recommend where USB charging stations are across the parks? Also, other tips to keep them charged up. Thanks!

There is a charging station in MK in the Tangled section but you have to provide your own charger. The other option is to buy the charging rod they sell for $30 that you can return unlimited for a fully charged one all across property. From my understanding once the fuelrod rolled out they no longer let you leave your phone at Guest Relations to charge for free.

I always take a USB pocket charger, fits in my pocket and easy to charge up my iPhone if needed. It’s actually more of a hassle carrying around the usb cord itself than the small charger, though I normally keep them in a backpack. You can get one at Walmart, Amazon, etc...

Great ideas! Thanks Guys...never had heard about the Fuel Rod. Interesting concept and seems quite easy!

I would look at buying your own charger and just bringing it. Most of the smaller ones are pretty portable and no more weight than the phone itself.

My wife and I received Anker chargers for Christmas that I plan on using (at least one) for our next trip .. I see them on Amazon right now (various sizes/shapes) for less than $15.

While the Fuel Rods are convenient IF you are in the park without a charger, if you plan ahead you can just be ready at half the cost.

If you are flying to Disney, you can find the fuel rod machines in the airport for $25. Exchanges work in any airport that has them and in the park and are free as long as the company is in business.

This may seem like a dumb question but will the Fuel Rods work with a UK iPhone? Considering buying one from the parks when we're there in June but obviously don't want to waste money on something that isn't going to work.

Fuel Rods will work with any USB charged device. So pretty much any phone. And the charger itself gets charged via USB, so as long as you have a plug with a USB port compatible with wherever you are, you're good to go. Like a PP mentioned though, you can get a good portable charger on Amazon that has much greater capacity (think more charges) than a Fuel Rod for a fair bit less. Many of them are $15 to $20 US. I would recommend going with one of those. I have carried one on my last 4 Disney trips and it has proved invaluable. Amazing how quick you can chew through a phone battery in the parks, and these chargers allow you to recharge the phone while standing in line, riding rides, seeing shows, eating, basically doing anything but being chained down to an outlet somewhere.

Fuel Rods with work with nearly all phones/tablets. Each initial purchase comes with a 6” USB Type-A to Micro-USB adapter cable (most Android devices), along with an Apple 30-pin (iPod, iPhone Gen 1-4) and Apple Lightning (Apple Gen 5+) adapters. Fuel Rods can also be recharged by the purchaser.

USB is 5 volts DC universally. All USB chargers should work with any iPhone and most all smart phones across the world.

I also recommend the fuel rod. It's light won't give you a full charge but you can return it and get a fully charged one.

Keep in mind that the Fuel Rods tend to be lower capacity. You can easily buy a very high capacity, multiple charges USB charger for much less on Amazon.
