Since everyone is posting different fare sales for other airlines, thought I'd post this one for US Air.

You can ONLY get good prices by going to www.usair.com and following the booking instructions at the end of the email - the fares are not available anywhere but their website (not on Travelocity, for example, because I looked).

Got this yesterday afternoon in email:

Florida Summer Savings
Fares as Low as $69 Each Way

Hurry, Tickets Must be Purchased by Monday, July 2, 2001!

We've got your ticket for some of the best fares of the summer for Florida travel. Just purchase your tickets online no later than July 2, 2001 and complete your travel by September 27, 2001, to take advantage of this offer. See Sale Fare Requirements below for complete details.

Fares apply between most cities in the U.S. served by US Airways and the following Florida cities:

Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Key West, Miami, Orlando, Pensacola, Sarasota, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach

These low fares are only available when you purchase roundtrip and book online at http://www.usairways.com/reservations/index.htm

Booking these fares online is fast and easy. Simply enter your origin and destination cities on the Reservations section on our homepage, select "My Travel Dates are Flexible" and choose from a list of low fares. Look for the -X87WNJT, -X8E7MWN and -X8E14WN type fare codes and you'll know you've received this sale fare.

I got the same e-mail. I am not travelling within those dates that apply, but on a whim I put in the dates I want to go the end of November and the rates have actually gone down $50.00 from when I was searching a few weeks ago. With 2 of us flying that $100.00 that I can spend on more WDW fun!

I got this same email last night and took advantage of it this morning!!

We originally booked our flights with United in mid-April, only to have United drop two of our flights just a few weeks later. They subsequently booked us on new flights - but in doing so, cost us 8 hours of our vacation. We weren't at all happy, but all United would do was tell us that they would happily refund us the full amount if we could find other flights with more accomodating times. Well, we've been watching and waiting for two months and luckily USAir came along with these great rates and even greater times!!

Our new reservations only cost us $1.50 more per person and regained us 9 hours of our vacation!!! United has said it will take about two weeks to receive our refund, so the credit should come through before the new charges are due.

We leave 6 weeks from today!!! Hopefully this will be beneficial to others. :D

as a matter of fact I myself got 32.50 back on both of my tkts for sep thus bringing my fare down to 136 per person.

I, too, got this email, but can't find any good prices yet for October from Philly or Baltimore. I really want to go non stop & early in am, if possible. Beverly Lynn posted awhile ago that I still have time, but I'd love to have my flights arranged soon. I'll keep checking.....

Got the email this a.m. and tried to see what I could find, but the USAir web site kept doing funky stuff. I'll try again later....

Thanks for the heads up, I was able to save $20 per ticket with this!!!! I also was having problems checking the usairways website yesterday, so I went to orbitz.com, they list the web only fares there as well.

yes the usair websight was doing that yesterday too! call this nbr 800-245-4882 this si the nbr for the web sight and they can assist you to make the ressies too. as for oct some of the sale fares have gone into october already and there shuld be another one coming out soon that goes into oct. make sure to keep a good eye out on sales right now since the 4th of jul is comin gup and they always have had a good sale right after!

I have seen some good fares. Delta, USAir, United all fly out of BWI & PHL & fares are in the 150's, but the times stink. They leave around 8 pm & leave MCO at about 6 am. Do you think I will find non-stop for under 200? I'm beginning to think I should just find the best 1-stop times & book a flight. What's your opinion, Beverly Lynn?

I got the e-mail this morning too. All I could get was connecting flights that involved prop planes for one leg. No non-stop flights. Oh well. The price was about $100 cheaper than Southwest, but not worth the hassle. It may be OK for other airports.

Well, I'm not Beverly Lynn but I had the same problem and we
decided to fly into Tampa. Got much better flight times!

I thought my fare of 459$ total rt for the three of us was great, now I am getting a $66 rebate bringing our tickets to 393$ r/t TOTAL for the three of us. I am very happy. (Buffalo to Orlando) WW

Thanks, D.Kurz. I checked flights from PHL to Tampa & they were great. All non-stops & great times. I can go for $143 RT and leave at 8:00am & 6:00 pm from TPA. Now a new dilemma. How much will a rental car be? I hadn't even considered renting a car b/c we are only doing WDW, but I think I can rent a car cheaper than the flights to Orlando + Tiffany would cost me. I definitely need advice. TIA.
