What is the usa code and who can use this code? I tried this code last night and it made a big difference compared to my current reservation.

thanks.

I was unsure about this code when I booked a car in Phoenix in March. I called to see what I had to bring with me to show that I could use the code. (entertainment card, disney's card, mastercard, etc.) They told me that all I needed was my BNM card. (BNM does not have a card, but I also needed a "K" code, so I found one on BNM's site. They check for the best rates, but you do not need to make the ressies thru them) Anyway, when we got to Phoenix, we had no problems using the code at all! They did not ask for anything. The only problem that we had was there wasn't a "rate code" telling them how much the rental cost would be. (glitch in the website) I gave my printouts to the desk clerk and she typed in the amount and off we went. Someone posted that the code had been on Avis's site last winter. I wasn't looking at the time, so I can not vouch for that myself. But, I did use the code and everything worked out fine. If you're not already a "wizard" member, sign up for that and see if they give you $5 a day off, too. (max $25) We had them fill the tank because their price was lower than it was in town. (odd, I know) that extra money filled the tank. We rented a Bonnaville for $350 for 9 days in Phoenix. That's a lot compaired to what we normally pay in Orlando, but different states and different circumstances, too. The rental would have been over $500 without the code, though.

Hello bev r.-
I tried it and it worked for us too, but when I viewed my ressie, it was higher. I was told to call customer service and ask why the price was higher and after I faxed them my printout they confirmed me with the lower rate. BTW, Avis phone agents say that usa is not an existing rate code, It works though. Your confirmation printout is proof that USA is good. I chose not to mention that I used USA code to customer service. They only asked me to fax them my lower printout rate. As a back up plan I also booked with dollar (about 30.00 more).

When I called Avis, they said that the USA code was for military/government personnel only. Anyone have any experience of using this code at MCO?

I guess I'm looking for reassurance that the USA code can be used by everyone. I'm booking a 1-way from the airport to the port for the cruise in Sept. Using the USA code, the rate saves me almost $10 off my previous quote (it's more for the rental after the cruise for some reason). No strings attached to this code?
