Us $..uggh

I usually agree bc i get child support in US dollars..:) but to put out 3000 at once it hurts.

Well...I blew it...pick the right day, I thought to pay off my balance for upcoming trip....by the time it was posted by VISA.....the exchange was 1.28!!! sigh....

Oh well, My husband is a beef farmer and it is definately better to have the CDN dollar lower than US...we joke about it...he will be praying for the dollar to stay low and I am hoping for it to go up for my Disney trips!! It actually works out better for me in the long run...he will usually give me money for trip just before I go (he never goes) and if dollar is low he gives me more because his cattle sold better:cool1:

I was happy when I booked our trip last week through CAA that I was quoted in Cdn $. I hear the price of the pkg and that's the price of the pkg taxes and everything all in. I like that waaay better than having to then add on taxes and then convert the currency.

The drive down in June is another story altogether. We'll be taking 3 or maybe 4 days to drive since DH is not a fan of long days on the road. I'm just now trying to work out a budget for that portion of the trip and the drive home. After WDW we'll be spending another week or so at a condo my parents have near Tampa so that will be a freebie other than food. I've got to figure out how much we'll need for all of that and then convert it into what I think that will cost CDN. Gak!:crazy2:

Gee, I did not know you could lock in a rate when buying US $ :confused3

To make it more clear, I have put off paying off my rental car, room reservation, etc. which are all priced in US $. I think tomorrow will be as good as I can get -- we leave Sat. and I have yet to exchange for US $ to pay tips, etc.

So...if I lock in at that rate tomorrow, the rest of you will probably get a great rate the next day.
