US tour strategy?

We have been lucky enough to go to US and IOA during slow times and have never needed to worry about lines or getting Express passes. We were there in mid December and walked on everything the whole day. If going to US in February, I've read that it will be a bit busier than it was in mid December. I've looked at the crowd predictions and have chosen a good day during the week to go, and will get there before park opening.

With Transformers and Despicable Me now open, is there a new strategy for touring the park? Should you go right to Transformers, or can you do RRR and the Mummy first? In December we didn't have any particular strategy and just did rides as we walked by them. Thanks!

You should do DM first thing as this attraction has a longer line all day every day. Transformers' wait times greatly changes throughout the day so definitely do DM first thing. Other than that...you can pretty much do what you want...in any order you want. The only thing to keep in mind is Mardi Gras starts 2/8 at the Studios so the park will be more crowded as the day goes on.

I think you would be OK w/o EPs but you should wait until you arrive to see what the lines are like before purchasing.

Definitely do DM first.......the queues really do build quick there.....and it's a real fun ride to do.

And yep wait and see how your day goes before thinking about buying EP.

Have a great trip :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!! :goodvibes

Thanks! Quick question about Mardi Gras.... for our 2 days at Universal in February, we've opted to go on a Sunday for IOA and Wednesday for US (based on crowd predictions). Therefore, we won't be there for the parade or any concerts. Will there be any special Mardi Gras events or will we miss them altogether?

You'll miss it...concerts and festivities are on Saturday/Sunday nights.
