US to allow visitors with "mix and max vaccines"

Yes this was announced a couple of weeks ago and we are thrilled!!! All major cruiselines have also updated their vaccine policies to reflect this update from the US CDC with the exception of DCL 😈😈😈 We know they move at a snail's pace but come ON already.

My current theory is that they may purposely be waiting for the departure of the Panama Canal cruise later this week... or maybe some liability insurance contract to be updated. There is also the possibility that the Safe Passage web site requires some sort of update... Unless DCL has some special data, there is indeed no known "health" reason for them to drag their feet any longer on this topic...

It's DCL. They've been slow to update throughout the pandemic. I don't think there's a reason other than "giant companies take a while to do things".

I don't disagree... but there is slow... and then there is slow...

How does the Bahamas feel about mix and match?

The real determinant of vax policies for cruises has been the demands of ports of call.

Sorry, I missed the announcement. Must have been buried in a thread as I did check . . or tried to! I got my Booster shot this week. Was only sore (arm) for about 24 hours. But I got the same booster as my original vaccine.

Glad to hear you're feeling good after your booster! Here in BC they announced boosters will be given 6-8 months after your second dose (with exceptions for elderly, those living in care homes, immunocompromised etc) so I won't be getting one until January 1st at the absolute earliest. And even then it could be either Modern or Pfizer depending on what is available. So I could very well end up with an AZ/Moderna/Pfizer mix in the end 🙄
