This match is making me crazy. I thought the fat lady was singing but she must have swallowed a frog. Come on Agassi, you've got to win. You can't let it end like this.

I'm taping all of the endings of all of Agassi's US Open matches this tourney.....when he got to 4-0 in that 4th set, I hit record on the VCR....glad I set it to tape for a couple of hours!

You know if Agassi and Roddick win next couple of matches they will play each other. How hard will that be?

As hard as last year's Agassi/Blake quarterfinal!

Oh dear god, it was funny to sign in this morning and see that this thread had gone from 3 to 6 pages! LOL!!! I knew Jen would be involved.

I signed off and went upstairs to the bedroom to watch. Had I known it was gonna go on like this, I'd have taken my laptop up with me and stayed on the DIS with you guys!

Wow...what a match! I was screaming all the way through the last set and I thought my cat was gonna have a heart attack each time I did.

I honestly don't think Baghdatis was faking it. Especially considering the timing of when he tried to get a trainer. That moment wasn't in his interest to have a fake. I truly felt bad for him, I know what it's like to play a sport (not tennis!) with an injury and it stinks. I hate seeing a player win due to an opponent getting injured and having to retire, so I was saying a little prayer for Baghdatis that he could at least play out the match. WOW. What a match, I just have to say it again. I really thought Agassi was gonna get it on that first match point! I was praying so hard that it didn't go to a tiebreak. I HATE the 5th set tiebreak that they have in this tourney. I mean, I understand the reason for it, but I still don't like it.

There were some really great moments in that last set. I'm glad I recorded it. I hope Dyan did too!!!

Good morning!! I really didn't think Baghdatis was faking it, you could tell he was really hurting. We were just being funny. I really like Baghdatis, he's such a good sport and funny. I was just so nervous for Agassi. I'm afraid that match took alot out of him. He was walking around really stiff after the match. It might affect him in next time he plays. I loved the interview with Johnny Mac.

Guess we'll have to send lots of pixie dust for next match!

I just read on internet that Agassi was in so much pain from his back after match last night he had to lay on the floor of the locker room until his ride came to take him back to hotel. Today a doctor came to his hotel room and gave him a cortisone injection, Agassi was unable to travel to hospital. It's not looking good for the rest of the tournament. He won't withdraw but doubt he will be able to play the kind of tennis he would want to, especially his last time. Only good thing it's supposed to rain again tomorrow, so maybe he will have an extra day to rest.

He'd also gotten a cortisone injection the day before his match with Baghdatis because he was in so much pain from his match with Pavel.

I hate to say this, but I wish he would retire today. He would be going out with a great win against Baghdatis. His health is so precarious right now it would be terrible for him to comeback and lose to the unknown Becker. no one should compete in that much pain!

While I'm annoyed that it rained today and I got to watch NO live tennis, I'm glad Agassi gets another day of rest!

Plus CBS did an entire day's tribute to Agassi. Very cool to watch those old matches of Agassi's against Sampras that I remember watching live!
