My oldest daugher (16) is a HP freak - she has been to US twice with my sister and her family. For her graduation trip in 2016, we are planning on skipping our annual DW trip and heading to US so she can experience Diagon Alley. My yougest daughter will be 10 at the time. My oldest is the only one in our family to have been to US, so it is totally new to the rest of us. How many days would you vets recommend to try to see everything? We are planning on staying on site and visiting maybe Sea World as well.

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest no fewer than three days to see everything in both parks and have a day to visit favorites again.

We usually stay a week but I think 5 days is good. That way you can take your trip at a very leisurely pace. Enjoy some park time, hang out at the pool, check out city walk. One thing I will recommend you NOT do is use the complimentary shuttle on your way BACK from Seaworld. There's a recent post on here about how unorganized (and rude) people are on the return trip shuttle (we've witnessed it first hand). I would take a cab back or maybe move to a hotel closer to Seaworld for that portion of your trip. Two years gives you lots of time to save and plan (not that you need much time to plan when going to US). By then the crowds for Diagon Alley will have mellowed out some. What ever questions you have, ask away. Everyone is very helpful here. Take a look at the Trip Report boards as well. Here's a couple of my favs to get you started http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2233670 from Barb and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2808537 and http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2760916 that should be enough to get you started. here's a great site to drool over the resorts (some are pre-renovation) http://www.oyster.com/search/?qa=location:universal-orlando-orlando-295 Have fun :)

Thanks! We've had some issues with FP+ at Disney. Our trip is scheduled 8/1 so we will see how it all shakes down. Ready for a change and have wanted to do US but we wanted to wait a bit until our youngest was big enough to ride more things. Thanks for the Sea World shuttle advice - we will be driving so we would probably drive there. Excited for a change of pace! I think I've talked my daughter into going summer of 2015 now!

I know the feeling. Our youngest wasn't tall enough the first time we went so I promised him we would wait until he was tall enough to ride everything the next time. He had a blast that second time :)
He's a coaster fanatic!
