US/IOA on weekend?

Hi, I am new here.

I am going to Orlando on Dec 4 and want to visit the Universal parks. The days I have available are Sat Dec 6, Sat Dec 13 or Sun Dec 14, and Thur Dec 18. I have 3 days that I can spend at Universal. I assume Thur would be a good day for either park, but what about the Saturday?

My plan was to go to USF on Sat Dec 6, IOA on Sun Dec 14 and then using Thur Dec 18 to go back to whichever park that I didn't get to finish, or do a little of both parks.

What can I expect at US on Saturday that early in Dec? Crowded? Would US or IOA be better on Sat?

Thanks for your input!

Weekends will always be busier than a week day would be, but during that time, the waits should not be too bad. Closer to Christmas, the attendance will increase though.

Don't be put off by the crowds go and enjoy yourself:jester:

I like your plan. It will work. If Kelly's book is correct it should be the slowest time of the year.:crowded:

When ever I go to either park on the weekends, I go on Sunday. There aren't many people there. I've been on Saturdays and it usually busy. But a Sunday in December would not be too bad either.

Thanks for your replies! Unfortunately I have to go one Sat as I only have one Sunday free. I guess it would be less busy on a Saturday in early Dec than any time of year. I also figured that of the two parks, US would be less busy than IOA right?

I also like your plan. You spend the two weekend days just enjoying the parks, using Express pass where you can and not trying to pack everything in. Then on the Thursday, which should be quieter, you can blast round the bits you missed.

Alternatively you could get an Express booklet if the parks look very busy. When we were there it was $15 for one day one park, which is not so bad given that it gets you on everything once at the front of the line. We thought it was well worth it.
