I've seen a few older threads about Character Dining at US/IOA but couldnt find anything recent. We are going to IOA in early April and thought about doing the Character Breakfast experience. Any thoughts/suggestions on this? Any experiences to share? We will also be doing a Character Breakfast at WDW with the kids but this one is for me, the dad. I am all about Spidey, have been since I was 4! :worship:

was just there last week. You can make your ressie for Confisco 30 days before. Although the place was dead when we were there so not sure if you need one......
It was Spidey, Thing 1 & 2 and Cat in the Hat. Spiderman was excellent. He really stayed and chatted a long while at each table (although my kids are on the quiet side, so not so much with us, but with everyone else). Although not sure if it's because there werent' many people there. Sometimes he would jump up on the chair backs of someone in his spidey pose (i can't believe the chairs didn't tip over). He even sounded like SM (well, Tobey Maguire). Anyone who is a SM fan will love it. He was so personable and chatty. I've never been a huge SM fan, but I think I developed a crush on him after that.

oh, the food was ok. Scrambled eggs & hash browns were good. There was also cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, bacon, sausages, french toast and waffle sticks. Did not like the waffle sticks for some reason. They were really thick and didn't taste great.

Thanks lamb - great info. We werent planning on the food being all that great - probably very amusement park-ish. Just curious if you were able to enter the park when the meal was over or had to wait for general admission times etc?

actually, they don't even open until the park opens so we had reservations right at park opening - 9:00. So we were done around 10:00. Not sure if that ever changes, but from the time I started researching it - about 6 months before our trip - it was always said (i think on the universal website) that the earliest you could get into the restaurant was 9:00.
