We've been to Disneyworld twice now, but never universal.

We were thinking of making a sort of last minute trip to stay at Universal Studios Dec 15-19. With air travel occurring the 15th and the 19th, that only gives us 3 full days in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

Airfare 3 of us= $700
Hotel stay 4 nights at about $600 (RPR)
Tickets to parks $300
then of course food/misc $600

For those of you that have been there- would it be worth it to you, the $2,200ish price tag for three full days?

Thanks for any advice-

I believe that since you are staying on-site, with FOTL, it should not be a problem. Yes, $2,200.00 is alot for only 3 days, but I'm a sucker for themeparks so I know I'd do it; if I could. My friend and I are going to Universal and WDW in early December. We are staying on site at Universal for only two nights; which gives us 2 1/2 - 3 days in the park and I am very comfortable with that time frame. Have you looked in to the 2 for 5 park tickets? For about $95.00 pp you could go for 5 days in a row. If your flight gets in early enough and leaves late enough, you could even go a few more hours. Have fun. :bounce:

I'm looking at that much for a 3 day January trip and I don't have airfare.

Yes, those were the tickets I was planning on buying. So I thought perhaps if we did have a few hours the first day, and a few in the morning the last before the plane leaves - we could go then.

Thank you both for replying so quickly!

That is cheap for RPR. 4 nights at $125/night? What discount are you using?

I was just 'rounding'
it is Entertainment rate, $119 X 2 nights, $152 X 2 nights
plus taxes of course :)
