Us, Food, Drink, Friends, and Sledge (Hijack update Disney and Napa Rose 12/16)

:lmao: I thought you'd like these! And the hat is oddly becoming ... I may have to wear it to some local events we're going to be attending in the next few weeks. ;) :rotfl2:

THAT IS PERFECT! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: What a great day to start the day!

If I can lose the appropriate poundage ... next year for Halloween I'm dressing up for real as food porn pimp. I'll scare and scar the neighborhood kids! :rotfl2:

Well, That will take about a second to loose! I didn't see ANY extra poundage on you at all! :flower3:

You're too kind. I'm up 20 pounds from this time last year and 30 pounds over my ideal weight according to people with lots of degrees who are waaay smarter and less well-fed than me. :rotfl2: But I bet they don't have nearly as much fun! :thumbsup2

Those people are jealous! They are NOT "THE FOOD PIMP!" Obviously not fans of the cheese plate! I say not trustworthy! :lmao:

FDR with cleavage :lmao:

She looks kind of like the Cat in the Hat gone radioactive.

That hat is so wrong and yet so right at the same time! Chelsi, that was a great find!

You had me at Chef Link.

DH and I ate at Herbsaint on our Honeymoon; we ate at Cochon last Mardi Gras - I can't imagine anything more divine then the pork cheeks at Cochon - and their greens! And the Chef's bar!

Sorry. Highjack over.

Now that I"ve read the whole thing...

from Bendy's food porn pimp hat to TDCnala's "Anthony Bourdain's NO Reservations: Theme Parks" logo - I have to go to bed now. I have officially laughed too hard. (Where do you sign up to be a food porn 'Ho?)

Thank you! That is what I thought of it and my lovely Bendy is the one person the should wear it!:lmao:

I think you signed in when you read this post! :rotfl2:

Sorry it's been so long on an update. I hate a new computer and it's not compatible with Photbucket's mass upload thing so it takes forever to get photos in!

Day 2 October 17th or take it easy so we can enjoy Party For the Senses Day!

Well surprise we are back at EPCOT for more food booths and a culinary seminar!

We started with the Lamb Slider at New Zealand

WDW2009foodandwine213.jpg

I would love to tell you about it but I have a photo that will tell you how I felt!

WDW2009foodandwine215.jpg

I like lamb - this was a meat clot on a dry bun with tomato paste. Jason liked it but he is like Mikey and will eat anything! :lmao:

Off to Cork - land of my hubbies people - look how happy he is!

WDW2009foodandwine209.jpg

Fishermans Pie
WDW2009foodandwine210.jpg

We both loved this! I am happy that it was cooler at the start of the trip so we could try soups and stews without feeling uncomfortable! This was great, rich and full of lobster!
:yay:

Off to Franceland. I wante dto try the new Cosmo Slushie. I am a BIG fan of the lemon one and hoped this would live up to it! We also got the short ribs and potatos!
WDW2009foodandwine220.jpg

WDW2009foodandwine219.jpg

The slushie was dark red and tasted like Hawaiian Punch with a kick. I liked it but not as much as the lemon one. What is not to like about the short ribs?! Potato meaty goodness!

New Orleans for Crawfish Etouffee
WDW2009foodandwine225.jpg

WDW2009foodandwine227.jpg

We loved both the gumbo and the etouffee this year! Two thumbs up!:thumbsup2

Then off to Vienna -
WDW2009foodandwine230.jpg

Mushroom Soup with Chive Dumplings
WDW2009foodandwine232.jpg

I thought this was the worst this at the festival. It was flavorless and has a piece of mush that was just icky in it!

Off to Munich for Nuernberger Sausage on a Pretzel Roll

WDW2009foodandwine235.jpg

This tasted great but I think someone at Disney was playing a joke with the size of sausage to bun! This was the most PG picture we had from this booth!
:littleangel:

Off to Rio
WDW2009foodandwine256.jpg

Grilled Pork Skewer with Farofa
WDW2009foodandwine259.jpg

This tasted good but it looked strange! Let's just say that "someone" later in the week commented on it by talking about a litter box!

Last booth of the day

San Juan, Puerto Rico
WDW2009foodandwine260.jpg

Arroz con Pollo (Chicken with Rice)
WDW2009foodandwine262.jpg

It was chicken and rice and A LOT of it! It was done well but nothing unusual!

Then it was time for Greg Richie from Emeril's Tchoup-Choup with Coppolas Vorte Sante wines

WDW2009foodandwine243.jpg

WDW2009foodandwine252.jpg

Chef Richie seemed like a very nice person and he talked about the restaurant since he had taken over - after Pam had finished gushing. Jason and I have eaten at Tchoup Chop in the past but not since Chef Richie took over. The food we had was amazing. We were excited to go to the demo but had hoped for more then pork dumplings. They were good but I guess I had expected more from him. The wine was not something I like to drink. It was a BIG buttery Chardonnay from California (in a little tiny glass)

All in all this was OK but again not our favorite!

Chelsi, I think this pic of Citrico's veal shank goes in the same file with the sausage on the itty bitty bun!

Disney food porn at it's best!

Disney food porn at it's best!

I thought you'd appreciate that! :laughing:The 6 of us that were there laughed so hard & so loud that we thought they would throw us out. It was also quite tasty.;)

I agree the Fisherman's was great. We were really surprised how good that etouffee was this year!

The Votre Sante was big & buttery? I know it's passe' but sometimes I'm really looking for a big buttery chard & it's getting harder to find.

Look at what Kabuki sent her pimpin' friendie Bendy! :rotfl2:

Every restaurant's nightmare

What do you mean you don't serve foie gras?
DSC04007.jpg

Smells like 67% bittersweet cocoa powder from the Amazon ...
DSC04009.jpg

Tasty; and it makes me look like FDR with cleavage!
DSC04010.jpg

It's been a real pleasure to pimp you.
DSC04013.jpg

I go out of town for a few days and I miss this? :rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao: Love it!
