Sorry I know it's been asked before, but I can't find the info ...

I am trying to get onto the US Disney Store website but it keeps redirecting me back to the UK site. Is there a way to stop this happening?

Thanks :goodvibes

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and there is a little American flag with Disney Store.com for you to click :goodvibes

when I'm using google chrome it still redirects back to the uk site when you click

Internet explorer allows me to swap to US ... I think that's the only time I use IE anymore

was wondering do many shop from the US Disney store
only done it twice and got caugh by customs both times
this was a few years back

i have looked A LOT but never bought. mainly because of the cost of postage :scared1:

no doubt i would get caught by customs aswell. i always seem to when i get anything from the US :sad1:

We have never bought from the US because of the same reasons.
DW was in D23 the first year it was running and bought a few things - such as pins - that were only available to members. The pin itself cost $19.95, the postage was something ridiculous like $40 - possibly more - and then we got stung by customs on entry and this was normally more than the cost of the pin as they also charge you import on the cost of the postage too :sad2:
In the end a $20 pin ended up costing us over $100
On one occassion DW thought she would try to do something to sort this and phoned D23 in the US to get a few shipped in one package and cut down on postage. They kindly offered to ship them for free, which was great, but when they arrived we had a big import bill to pay because they had decided to 'estimate' what they thought the shipping should have cost and charge us for that.
In the end we resorted to ebay for the last few pins - and even though a couple of them came from the US we never got hit once by the friendly C+E

Thanks very much :wizard: - I had actually tried clicking that but it didn't work in firefox, just kept redirecting back to the UK site again. I've just tried it in Internet Explorer and it works, thanks :goodvibes

No I wouldn't buy from there because of postage/customs costs. I lost a watch that I bought in Disneyland last summer, a friend is going over to Florida next week and is going to look for a replacement for me. I was hoping to find a picture to show her as I know they list some park merchandise on there (and I can't find a picture of it anywhere on google!) - they don't have it there as it happens, but at least I know!

I usually buy a couple of Christmas decs and a calendar direct from WDW merchandise dept which is usally around the $40 mark with shipping. Then i get a nice invoice from Fed Ex for the VAT! They charge it on anything you ship in totalling more than £18!:sad2:

This doesn't stop me ordering the couple of things i do though - i just don't tell my DH as he would just think i was mad as all told it woks out at around £40 for a couple of decs and a calendar!

Claire

i only use it just befor a holiday and have stuff delivered to the viila.x

I used it when I bought a peas-in-a-pod beanbag from Toy Story 3 as they were sold out here. Had it posted to our house in Florida as postage to UK was about $20. They gave me a tracking number so was reassured that it would get delivered!
