Hey everyone,
I have a question for ya!
My dear hubby uses a wheelchair and I was wondering if US offers some sort of a guide like Disney does? Where to enter how to exit...that sort of thing.
All answears are appreciated.

Thanx in advance:jester: :jester:

i would like to know- by brother is in a wheelchair and i would like to take him. Any help here would be great!

after doing a search found that there are indeed printed guides for wheelchair guests that are available at the 'guest services window' when arriving at the park entrance.

Also, it was mentioned that the park does have designated exit and entrance areas for its' attractions, shows, and rides for people in wheelchairs (I have seen them throughout the park also) listed within this book for guests to find out when touring the park.

Hope you enjoy; I think Universal is really awesome.

Yes, guides for our disabled guests are free and available anytime from guest services.

Keep in mind, that unlike many of the "older" queues as Disney, almost ALL the queues at Universal were built following the guidelines set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In other words, ALL queues (except Kongfrontation and Back to the Future) accommodate wheelchairs. So be prepared that you and you hubby will need to wait in the regular queues with all other guests.

The only issue that may come up (and is not listed yet in the Disabled Guide) is that some Universal Express queues are not wheelchair accessible (Hulk, Doom, Ripsaw, and Cat in the Hat come to mind). Although you will still need to obtain an Express ticket and return at your scheduled time - you will be directed to a different entrance to accommodate the wheelchair.

We were at Universal the first year it opened and found every queue we went into was Mainstream Access (wheelchair users wait in line with everyone else). Several people who have posted on the disABILITIES Board have been to Universal and found it quite accessible.
