We are thinking about taking one of our days in WDW and visiting IOA and US. Will it be possible to see both parks in one day with a 1 day 2 park ticket? We will want to spend some time in WWOHP and do other park attractions as well. We are not a roller coaster family, so we will not be doing those types of attractions. If we got there when it opened and stayed until park closing, can we do both? We were planning this for Tuesday, August 23. Any thoughts? :confused3

I want to know the same thing. Dh decided he does not want to spend the night at universal like I planned, so now I am trying to figure out a new plan for our fall Disney trip to see Harry Potter. :confused3

You can do the highlights of both parks in one day. You will miss things, so I suggest you decide what you want to ride before you get there.

You can't do everything in both parks in a single day but you can do the highlights. Check out the website...see what interests you and go from there.

You can definitely do both parks in one day. Start at IOA and hit up Wizarding World first, then make the rounds of anything else you want to do. Skipping roller coasters will also help you avoid the longest lines so you shouldn't have much trouble getting on anything you're interested in. Jurassic Park is great if you're ok with water rides that have big drops (same with Ripsaw Falls). I would mark Spider Man as a must see, and head around to the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley if you want a little bit of whimsical fun. Popeye and Bluto's is good if you want to get drenched. Otherwise, skip it.

Then you can head across to Studios. Skipping Coasters you'll have Shrek, Twister, Disaster, Jaws, MIB, Simpsons, ET and then the shows. Check out the show times when you get there so you can plan around those and then fit in the rides you're interested in between those. With wait times you may miss a few things but you'll be able to hit the highlights plus a few other things easily.

Have Fun!!!

if you would try to do ioa and the studios in one day, you will be missing so much.
ioa closes at 8 and the studios at 7.

if you hit 2 or 3 of the shows, you would not be able to do many of the rides, just the highlights.

the theme of the parks would be a blur to you.

you would enjoy the park more if you could take your time and not be rushed to hit just the highlights of the parks.

if you took in the sinbad show and after sat around the mystic fountain, that would easily take in over an hour of your day.
there are many things that newbies over look that make universal a well themed park.

the rides in seussland is not for children only.
ride the 4 attraction there, explore the maze of the seuss characters, notice the set up of this land. no straight lines. even the trees are crooked.

go to marvel land and take in spiderman ride.
be there when the fantastic 4 come driving in.
stay for the meet and greet.

when i go to a park, i take my time and check out everything from rides, to shows, to the shops.

one can just do the basic highlights and do the park in a day.
but, you are missing out on a whole lot more of fun.

Sure you can, just like you can do Disney in one day, but you are going to be cheating yourself in my opinion.
