We are going to Disney for 8 days in June. We were thinking of coming over to US and IOA for one day or maybe 2 days for a couple of hours. Is that even worth it? What about the lines in June? If it is going to be ridiculously crowded we may not do it. What is the deal with fastpass?

Thanks

I just got back from a quick two day trip. Whew, I would not think you could do both parks in one day if you want to ride everything, unless you run on battery power. We stayed on site and received FREE fast passes. I cant imagine going without them! But would not pay separately for them, unless I won the lotto. The lines will be long in the summer months, plus it will be sunny and hot! That being said we have so much fun at both parks. If you do go plan it out first, look at the website map and figure out which rides you all must do. My recommendations of must do's are, Mummy, spiderman, jurassic boat ride, and Men in Black. I also love Bluto's barge, its a water ride, like cali river rapids. Only you get Soaked on this one!!! I also love the Dr. Suess theme. Finally, we thought the simpsons ride had a great theme, but the ride itself was just okay. Hope this helps you out some, if you have any more questions just ask.

June is not the time of year where you can navigate both parks in a single day...even with the Express passes it's hard. If you get there early, you can do some of the bigger attractions before the crowds show up. If you feel the lines are getting too long for you, you can then purchase the Express passes...I wouldn't do it ahead of time.

Definately take two days if at all possible. There is too much to see and the crowds will be too thick to try and do both parks in a single day.

Trying to do US and IOA in one day is like trying to do 2 WDW parks in one day - almost impossible. If you only have one day I would make a list of your top 5 must do/see things in each park and do those things first. After that anything else you get in is a bonus! If possible I would plan at least a day for each park. We were there last August (stayed off-site) and managed to spend 6-7 days of our trip between the two parks (we were there for 16 days). Granted, we redid a lot of our favorites (I think my kids rode The Mummy about 10 times in a row one morning), but it was really nice to be able to take it a bit slower pace and come home feeling like we had a vacation.

I agree and when done 6 days last year in june and also offsite and we managed to get what we wanted to do done by 2 to 3 pm everyday but the crowds do start getting bad about 11 am to 1 pm and like the others said if you can get there as soon as they open you will be able to get the stuff you want done but I did notice that IOA did get alot busier than the studio side .
If you can afford 2 days I would do a day at each park and the most important thing is just have fun :thumbsup2

I did both parks in one day on a sunday at the end of may last year. We bought express passes (well worth it in my opinion) and rode everything and i mean everything except pretadon flyers or whatever that is. Not sure what it will be like with the new simpson ride but i say if that's all the time you have give it a go. IOA took us longer the universal , so i would advise starting there first. I can't wait to go back next year!
