Just wanted to see if anyone has used the Remote Airline Check in for US Airways since it started last week. We are flying them again in December and hopefully the program will be rolled out to the Yacht CLub by then.

Thanks
Ty

Wow - I was hoping someone had answered this thread. I'll bump it for you. We leave in 17 days and I hope this is up & running for our return to the airport. We're staying at the Poly. I'm not sure what resorts are participating initially.

You're in luck ... the current testing phase is ONLY for those guests staying at Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If it's like the experience with AirTran, this "testing phase" could drag on for months and months.

Great! It will help us out so much at the airport especially w/3 kids. Thanks for the info. :)

If you were a betting person, what do you think the odds are that it would be available at the Yacht Club by December? I don't have a ton of faith in anything US Airways does but not having to lug our bags through the terminal would be nice.

I'm trying to remember how long AirTran was in a testng phase, but I truly don't know ... I'm thinking it was at least 4 months, but I could be way off.

I won't guess about December. To tell you how much of a betting person I'm NOT ... I live 2.5 miles straight down the Boardwalk from the nearest Atlantic City casino, and I haven't gambled in a casino since maybe December or January.

now... what does "testing phase "mean? we will be going to the Poly at the end of next April. Does testing mean that it may not work out and it may not be happening anymore... or does it mean they are just waiting to get the kinks out before going on to other resorts?

The second thing you said.:thumbsup2

Subscribing to the thread..I booked our return flight to PHL from MCO on USAirways hoping they participate in Remote Airline Check-in by Dec. 12th. Now, I just hope my luggage makes it to PHL on USAirways!

Anyone hear how the testing phase is going? Just wondering if they will get the kinks out of the system before our December trip

We used RAC for US Airways from the Polynesian and it worked great. It was so nice not to have to deal w/the luggage just our carryon. From our experience no kinks at all hopefully it stays that way. Its a great service.
