Just wanted to give you a heads up that US AIR changed some of it's flight numbers and times. I'm traveling from Myrtle Beach to Orlando in August and mine have definitley changed...Might want to reconfirm if you you are using US AIR!!!!

Thanks!!!

We had the flight number and time change once during our cruise. When we got to Orlando Airport off DCL bus, we found out we were due to leave in 45 minutes rather than 1 1/2 hr! Now you want to talk about running through the airport like crazy people!!!!

JUST CHECKED MY FLIGHT FOR JULY 2, FOR 13 PEOPLE AND USAIR FINALLY GOT THINGS RIGHT .IF YOU HAVE A GROUP BOOK THROUGH THE GROUP DEPT THEY KEPT EVERYONE IN THE SAME SEATS. LAST TIME WE WERE ALL OVER THE PLANE. IAM SORRY FOR THE CAPS MY KEY BOARD IS BROKEN WILL GET NEW ONE TODAY

We were on Delta once and they changed the plane (bigger size) and had all three of us all over the plane - I protested since Michael was 5 years old!!! Can you believe the gal at the ticket counter was upset because I said he had to sit with one of us?!

I always book USAir out of Philly about 9 months out.

They ALWAYS change times, flight numbers and much to my aggravation, our seats. Then we have 5 of us spread throughout the plane.

Drives me crazy.

I am forever checking the website to see what changes they made.

Would it be toooooo much for them to tell you about the changes??????

Never once have they told me.

It's unreal.

If I had known last year that SW was coming to Philly, I would have waited.

Always reconfirm your flights, I sat in front of a couple who whined and complained for 3 hours that the flight had been changed and they were not notified, they booked their tickets in October and the flight was this past February, we are only talking a 1/2 hour, but her point was her husband could have slept an extra 1/2 hour!!!! I wanted to strangle this women! but anyway, always check your flight before you leave (day before) and then they day before you go back. I even once heading to the car check on my cell phone. this same trip last month, I called and found out our flight was delayed and instead of leaving at 1:30 it was leaving at 4:30. Gave us plenty of time to take a leisurely ride to the airport and stop and have a nice meal and site see a little!

Spirit has changed our flight times but always notifies us by phone. In fact they have changed our flight down to Orlando twice and notified us both times. I'm not thrilled because I plan way ahead and now DH will have to take a whole day off of work, but at least I know in advance. Wouldn't like a last minute change.

hi sandy girl i will be back to work monday and usair beat sprint prices you just have to know the right people to talk to . but thye will never call you with any changes to flights or aircraft

we fly on ATA mostly and they always call with the flight changes, even if the time change is 5 minutes.

Tony, good to know that - we have always used Delta but decided to go with ATA this time around!!!! I just hate that drive into Indy though!!! Thanks!

I agree. Once on a flight back from Hawaii, they tried to separate my DS4 (at the time) from DW and me. We complained but United bumped us up to first class (for a fee). Although they charged us each 100 dollars, it was woth the $300 dollars total for us. - Mike

Last Friday I booked a flight on US for Natalie(DD age 11) to fly from Savannah to Knoxville for spring break.

A TA friend booked the flights I wanted...at around 930 that morning. At 1130 I drove to the airport...around the corner and down the street from my office. Gave the ticket agent the fax from the TA..with the flights, times, aircraft, etc...Paid for and got her tickets.

Got back to my office an hour later....went to the computer to check the on time status of the flights....the flight # had already changed..from the time it was booked until it was ticketed....but the agent never told me about the flight # change. The flight # in April from Charlotte to Knoxville...is now a flight from Charlotte to Hilton Head!!!!! Going backwards.....

She will be flying alone and you can bet I'm gonna get the right flight #s before I put her on any plane to anywhere!!!!!

They just love to make us crazy.....

Phyllis

USAir has really deteriorated in my opinion over the past 5 years or so. We don't have much choice out of Vermont, USAir seems to be the only one with flights early in the morning and more often than the other carriers from here. But we've had some real problems with them lately (we fly several times of the year down to Florida) with unanticipated changes, delays, cancellations and downright unhelpful staff. Do you remember the days when customer service meant real service and not some disgruntled employee who could not give a darn about making you feel welcome and comfortable or even Human? I'm thinking I might drive to New Hampshire to fly Southwest next time, what has been everyone's experience with them?

We live in NY and use to always fly from Montreal but in the last few years have flown from Burlington or Albany because of cheaper prices. We used SW and didn't have any big complaints. Gate checked a stroller and had 2 children in carseats. The only problem was that they loaded the other passengers too quickly and didn't give us enough time to get our carseats even in the seats. I have heard that they have changed the check in process some since we last used them so it may have improved. The stroller was open and ready for us right outside the plane door as we left the plane. Did not change flight times or #'s after reservation was made.
We are flying united to San Antonio in April and have already had flight times changed. No major change though, only about 1/2 hour or so.
NH isn't that far away depending on where you are in VT. I would try it to see if it saves and aggrivation. Good Luck.

i booked with us air last oct so i would get seats closer to the front because i use a cane and prefer not to travel the lenght of the plane, no problem i got row 10. since then i've been changed 3 times and i'm now in row 34 and 40 minutes later to leave. i called today to question why i was so far back and could i please be put back to the front and i was told i had to handle the seat changing on the day of departure as u s air would gladly accomodate me then, i asked why they couldn't accomodate me now as thats why i made my reservation so far in advance and i just got the same response over again. this is all making me very nervous.

Thanks Minniemouse. Southwest is also a direct flight from Manchester, NH to Orlando, otherwise we always have to change in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington or New York and that's always when we have cancellation/delay problems. Might be worth it to go through Manchester then. It's 2 hours from me, but Burlington is 1 hour and Montreal is also 2 hours.

We flew from Albany to Boston, then later Albany to Plattsburgh route then even later Burlington to New York route over the course of several years to visit my parents ----- carriers were unconcerned about how I struggled with a carseat containing an infant, diaper bag and my luggage. Men would just walk away and never even ask to assist, as they might have done years before - my father was appalled to hear that one but it angered him when I told him that the Airline staff did the same thing.

Maybe we need to look long and hard at ourselves to see what we do when we see someone in need of assistance, do we stop to help or do we just rush off and ignore them?

There is NO excuse for anyone to separate a child and parent in transportation BUT in 2001, we were leaving Animal Kingdom on a DCL bus to the Port AND no one would move so that Michael (5) could sit with either of us. He sat with a teenaged girl and "talked her ear off" - we were both in front of and behind him a few rows and could see and HEAR him. Had he sat with us, he probably would have fallen asleep but in this case.......(sweet!!!!!)
