I don't know if you are staying at a Disney hotel, but here is the address for Port Orleans Riverside which is on Disney Property:Disney's Riverside Resort is located at 1251 Riverside Drive, PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. I know there is an urgent care place by Downtown Disney, I think it is Centra Care or something like that. We were there a few years ago when both ds and I got sinus infection/strep while at Disney. They will pick you up at the hotel and bring you back for free-great service since we did not have a car. Hope this helps-have a great trip!

We had to go to Celebration Hospital last year. Our oldest dd had a kidney stone a couple of weeks before our cruise. We spent the day before our cruise at the MK and her back started hurting that night. We called our doctor at home and he said she should have an MRI to make sure no other stones were present before we got on the ship. We spent all night at the ER, went back to the hotel and drove to the port. We have Blue Cross as well and they covered everything except the ER copay. Their address is:

400 Celebration Place
Celebration, FL 34747

Unless you are sufferring from something no worse than a cold, DO NOT GO TO THE URGENT CARE CENTER DISNEY WILL RECOMMEND. We were there the first week of October. Our two year old started wheezing overnight, and we went to that "urgent care" center. They charged the $50 copay up front, listened to her chest, did a pulse-ox level, and told us to go to the Celebration Hospital ER. We found out at the ER that the center could/should have at least given our toddler a breathing treatment because she was in serious distress. The hospital staff was wonderful, but they do not have a pediatric unit! Since they wanted our daughter to stay overnight, we had to be transferred via ambulance to a different hospital in downtown Orlando.

The "urgent care" center and both hospitals are all part of the Florida Hospital group and had no problem taking Blue Cross.

I second the PP.. don't go to CentraCare! I tried to go there once and they didn't accept my insurance, but boy they let me sit there for 2 hours and then told me it would be $400 before I could even SEE a doctor. I went there with a friend who thought she had pinkeye.. they said she must have poked it and there was no infection (they decided not to do any tests). 2 days later she couldn't even open her eye and ended up in the ER with BAD pinkeye.

So, if need be, go to Celebration Hospital. All 3 time's I've had to go there I haven't waited more than an hour and they give quick, competant care.

Centra Care is horrible! We spent hours there as our baby was very ill. We didn't realize that WDW used it for their employees, so needless to say, we waited a long time with a very sick infant, as they were seeing patients with regular appointments. They did a swab to confirm strep, but missed out on several other illnesses, so 2 days later, with an even sicker baby, we went to Orlando Regional Hospital Sand Lake at 9400 Turkey Lake Rd., which has now been renamed the Dr. P. Phillips hospital, just a few minutes from Downtown Disney. Our baby was so ill, they ambulanced us right away to Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. They were not impressed with the fact that Centra Care didn't find the other illnesses. We spent 2 days in isolation in our resort room, so they were pretty sure that based on incubation and symptoms, she had these illnesses at Centra Care. Doc told us it was fine to go to parks, despite the fact that she was highly contagious with strep - that's how she caught it in the first place, other sick kids at the parks! Needless to say, we didn't follow his advice at all. Also, the pharmacy that is connected to Centra Care is very expensive.

Anyway, we do not recommend Centra Care clinic to anyone - by the way, Centra Care and Celebration are owned by the same people (they just opened the new Disney hospital), but I've heard much better things about the hospital than the clinic, so go to hospital emerg and you will be much better served.

Happy health to your family, Tiger
