Urgent question regarding CRT ressie

When I booked my reservation a long time ago for CRT I used a Visa card for guarantee that I have now lost. I've read that they put a deposit on it, however I lost the card & had to have my bank replace it. I know that the ressie is still on there as of tonight - will they allow me to change the credit card number if I call them tomorrow so that it isn't declined when they attempt to run it through? We are on the Basic Dining if that matters! Thanks!

If you made the ressie a long time ago, the credit card that you gave them is only used to guarantee your presence (and their payment) at the meal. So, they would only try to charge that card if you didn't show up. As long as you're planning on keeping that ADR, you have nothing to worry about. They'll just take your KTTW card to pay for the meal with your DDP credits and nothing will ever show up on your credit card.

We are not doing DDP. When we booked CRT, they charged us the full amount - not a deposit. And not just having our credit card to have on hand just in case we don't show up.
Is that right?
Is it only if you are on DDP that you don't pre-pay?
And if so, how do they know you're really on DDP when you book?
