I am leaving next Monday to Las Vegas, then down to DLR, when I buy Park tickets online, how do I actually physically receive the ticket ? I remember last time when we went to WDW, I booked the ticket as a package and got the blue cards when I checked in the Disney hotel..never ordered online...

I will be pretty much on the road and won't arrive in Anaheim the night before I want to go to the park, would love to have the ticket on hand first in the morning so I can run to get Fastpass right away.. :goodvibes

If you buy tickets online, you should be given the option to print at home. Just print out voucher and present at the turnstile when you get there.

You just take your printed voucher to the turnstile and they will hand you a physical ticket. It is very simple and nothing to worry about. :)

will the turnstile be 'opened' before the park opens ? Just want to be the first to run to get fast passes...( yah I know I don't have EE and am already an hour lagging.. )

You literally do it AS you're entering the park. You walk up to the entrance and they scan the barcode and hand you the ticket that second. You just wait in line with everyone else entering the park.

would you recommend buying the tickets online ahead of time or there is really not much difference in price and 'process' if I buy the ticket right at the turnstile /entrance ?

No no ABSOLUTELY buy your ticket online and print it!! Currently price is the same but if you wait to buy at the park you have to wait in line to buy the ticket, make the transaction, THEN wait in line to get into the park. If you print it at home you just go through security and walk right up the entrance line to the park.

Ahhhh now you're changing the game lol. What I said above only works if you but DIRECT from Disneyland. Brokered tickets are different and typically have to be exchanged at ticket booths (waiting in line). The savings in price (MAYYYYYBE $5 or so) isn't worth the lack of convenience for me. I just buy from Disneyland.com.

ITA with this and I also was only speaking of buying directly from Disney.

Yes just buy from Disneyland.com. Not worth the extra hassle of going to the ticket booths and exchanging. Those lines are very long in the morning. If you buy direct from Disneyland you can bypass the ticket booths and go straight to the turnstiles.
