Hi,

I'm off to disney for my first planning trip tomorrow and have an urgent question. Do you have to pay disney a fee if you want an outside photographer and if so how much is it? I'd prefer to know before going and getting the full DEP or is it DLP sales pitch. Thanks for everything.

Getting Married on the 5th Dec 2005 at wdw ( no idea how to get countdown timer)

Yes, there is a fee for using an outside photographer. The fee is a minimum of $90 for up to three hours, and then another $30 for every additional hour.

I'm thinking of randy chapman and with the fee it would still work out about $1500 cheaper than disneys cheapest, thanks for your help.

Lots of folks have had great experiences with Randy. Just to throw another name into the mix, Damon Tucci did our photos. He used to be with DPS but is on his own now, he is very reasonable and a great photographer too.

Your wedding day is 1 day before our 9th anniversary!!! It is a great time of year to celebrate!

The fee for an outside videographer is the same as an outside photographer.

I got married at the Wedding Pavillion on 18th November and used Rhandy and Stan STVS who are both outside vendors and Disney never charged me for using these. I just the the Disney photography for a Honeymoon photo session at an additional cost.

Perhaps the policy is different for intimate brides? We had a custum wedding.

How do you contact Randy Chapman? I was quoted $2420 for a six hour package from disney...he can beat that by a lot?

www.chapmanphotography.com is Randy's website. His contact info is listed there. I paid about $2400 for Randy for unlimited coverage of my wedding day (we had him for about 11 hours) and my package included a lot of things that the Disney package did not.

dont know anything about the photographic services but if you go to the technical message board of this site you can get a countdown timer. i only found how to do it yesterday

I know that there has been a lot of discussion about the fees that Disney do and don't charge. I also had a custom wedding and used both Randy and STVS and was only charged one fee of $90 by Disney and both vendors were with us all day and also filmed our Dessert Party at EPCOT. I also know of other Custom brides who weren't charged any fee and then others who were charged the $90 for both vendors AND then the $30 for each additional hour over the original 3 hours.......... weird huh ?
