We are booked at Newport Bay, they have rang to see if we wanted to move to New York. She is calling back in 15 minutes.

Which hotel is better? Would you take it?

i would prefer the new york. i havent stayed in either but i have heard better things of the new york. how much more will you have to pay?

Is it a free upgrade?? If it's free I'd take it!!

If not, it would depend on the price.

nothing, I guess they are over booked. We had booked a room with a view of the lake, wonder if we will still get one.

I'd say New York too - especially if its at no or little extra cost. When you get the phone call back, explain that you have booked lake view at NBC, and would appreciate a similar room at HNY.
New York is closer to the Parks.

Depending on the price..but if its not much I think I woud go for New York, we stayed there a few weeks ago... lovely hotel.. the rooms are massive!! We had a fountain view.. which was nice..not that we spent much time looking out the window LOL

well she has just rung back, not sure if it was the right thing to do.

We had an Admiral room at The NBC and a standard room at NY, she said they are about the same.

Oh well done now, after your replies on here, and looking on trip advisor thought it would be a nice idea.

On Trip Advisor, NY is 4 out of 25 hotels and NBC is 13th.

Please tell me it was the right thing to do.

yes definately the new york is a different class of hotel. was it a lot extra for the admiral room

I think it was fantastic luck!! I've stayed at the NPBC, but the New York is the stuff of dreams for me! It's just totally out of my budget.... I would LOVE to stay there one day..... :cloud9:

I can not remember how much extra the admiral room was not loads and loads.

Bol. Are you sure you mean the New York and not the Disneyland Hotel, which is the main one over looking the parks. Sorry just seen your post count of course you know which is which, duh

So you are sure I made the right descion. I am worried now. I do not like making descions like that on my own, lol.

Lol, yes I'm sure!! I still the New York would be dreamy to stay in....Maybe once I'm out of uni and into a job! I'm banking on the DLH for my Honeymoon though, as that is waaaaaaaaaaay out of our normal budget!

I'm very sure you made the right choice personally..... ::yes::

With out a doubt I think you have made the right decision...New York isnt as busy as NPB, its a smaller hotel and the rooms and services will be better.I loved it there!

i too would love to stay in the Disneyland Hotel, if it was out of my price range before, even more so now with 2 children.

I have never stayed in the Newport Bay but I love the HNY & if ever we were offered a free upgrade we took it. I would even pay for the HNY

I would say hotel Newyork! :goodvibes

Why did they ring to see if you wanted to move hotels?.

i did ask was it because they were overbooked she kind of just laughed but did not say. I worked in hotels for 16years and hotels are always over booking, sometimes people were advised before hand.
