Okay, here's my dilemma. I have until 2:00pm today to adjust my reservation for my visit to Disneyland. I leave on Wednesday morning. When I made the reservations, I mistakenly made my checkout date on Sunday June 8, instead of June 7. Now, while it's not a problem to stay another day, I don't particularly want to be drowning in crowds since I'll be solo on Saturday(the peopole I'm going down with leave on Saturday).

What are the crowds supposed to be like this Saturday? Manageable or just not worth fighting by myself?

I find crowds to be *easier* to deal with when alone. I can just slip through the hordes as quickly and stealthily as I can, and don't have to worry if I've left someone behind. I'd take that day solo as a gift, and you can do exactly what you want, when you want!!!

I'd go for it! You'll be able to use single rider on some rides. And, if nothing else, use the time to enjoy some shows and little things around the park that you usually take the time for. Watch Billy Hill, take in the flag ceremony, listen to the Dapper Dans, watch the 50th movie with Steve Martin, sit on the porch on main street and eat a corn dog- so many little things you can do even when the park is busy.

Thanks. I've taken a few solo trips so I love the ability to weave through crowds without worrying about losing somebody(especially since I'm tall so my stride is longer than most, which makes me appear to walk faster than others.) My only issue with solo is that sometimes I get bored being in line by myself when they're long.

The day to myself does sound mighty tempting though. I could certainly use one.

I agree with everyone. You should stay and go solo. I would check out the art next to the opera house. there really is so much to see. I have always wanted to just go into every shop and check stuff out. Really take my time you know? Like have you ever been into the jewelry shop in NOS? really amazing estate jewelry. Anyhoo, we have all voted, and you should stay!Have a super wonderful time!:cool1:

I'm an art collector and you are right on the money about the art outside where Lincoln used to be. Disneyana and Off the Page are also great locales for to see some stunning artwork. I bought the Kinkade 50th painting in the old Disney Gallery and also purchased a beautiful Aurora piece there the day it was released, so I got to meet the Imagineer who painted it.

Once I find my Jedi Princess, she'll likely be quite interested in the jewelry(since princesses like those sorts of things), though I may not be able to afford it given what I've heard about some of the prices there. :rotfl:
