Please do not use code CZF unless you are a DisneyVISA card holder. If you do not have a DisneyVISA card, they will charge you the difference to make up the full rack rate. The information on Mousesavers is wrong about this code. Not everyone can use this code. ONLY the new VISA card holders can use it.

I found this info on another board and from the follow-up posts that I have seen, this looks to be for real. Please make whatever arrangements you need to in order to prevent check-in sticker shock! Mickey

I know someone said that they tried to book with a certain code, and CRO said that as of a certain date that code is for Disney Visa cardholders only (was open to all before that date). If you were booked before that date, CRO said you are fine. I think that is kind of poopy if you ask me - why not just put out a new code for Disney Visa cardholders?

I am glad they are making an offer exclusive but would tell non-cardholders not to despair. Other codes available to everyone offer exactly the same discounts.

It is working out like the DC/AAA discounts, both offer exactly the same thing to members and non-members

because you get Mini Golf passes!

Assuming, of course, that your family will actually use them.

My definitely will!

pattievers, do you get mini golf passes when you use your DC discout to book resort rooms?

I meant AAA and DC always gave exactly the same discounts at resorts, then and now. And it is disappointing that Dis Visa offers exactly the same things that other codes offer the general public, but under another combination of letters... It is sort of

With the current code....I am not sure if it is AEF or AEE or AE????

I was lucky to get an agent who was willing to try a bunch to find it.

Anyway...you get passes to Mini Golf or Wide World of Sports. We were able to get a moderate for $94...I think...the beginning of June.

I am sure it is a one time thing. My family enjoys the mini golf...so it was a great deal for us!

If you book room only using DC discount, WDTC will book it as a basic package. This package includes your room and admission to the sports complex or mini golf.

mickeysaver -- are you saying that this has actually happened to someone already? My confirmation does not even list the code --I've had some in the past that did say a certain code. We have checked in under a variety of codes and also have used an AP discount a couple times and have never been asked for anything except payment.

Unless you have a confirmation that says "Disney VISA required" (the AP ones always say that although I've never actually been asked to show the pass), I don't think you have a thing to worry about if you have that code booked.

I think that is kind of poopy if you ask me - why not just put out a new code for Disney Visa cardholders?

That code was intended to be only for Disney Visa cardholders in the first place,it was posted on the cardholder website when the card first came out. It was then posted on mousesavers before they informed everyone in CRO about the restriction (which was Disney management's mistake). They advertised that the Disney Visa would have exclusive offers by getting it, I think it was "poopy" to allow non-cardholders to book it in the first place. What is the point of exclusive Visa offers if they let everyone use it? Again, it was Disney Mangement's mistake - they should have had the rules in CRO's system before they allowed it's use. Someone else posted that they discussed it with a supervisor and they will allow any reservations made before they realized the mistake. I would call CRO and verify that and ask to have a note put on your reservation.

So can't you just apply and get the Disney Visa to keep the discount?

OK, I'm confused....If you booked with the visa rate code but was never asked if you had a visa or that you'd have to show the visa...then how can they take away a quote that they've given you and that you've put a deposit on. Isn't that some sort of contract? I would be EXTREMELY upset at that business practice at time of check in. I don't normally travel with credit cards-don't like them much. I understand the mix up and that code was to be exclusive, however in business if you make the mistake you usually eat the cost. Has this REALLY happened to someone out there or is this just another rumor on the board. I understand what the CROs are saying now when people called. However it sounds as though they finally got their ducks all in a row with regards to that special offer.

I just called to check on AP rates {which are not out yet btw} and specifically asked about using this code because we have already applied it to our reservations and we are not disney visa card holders. The girl at CRO told me that code is for everyones use now and not to worry. She also said even if they did change it just have your confirmation paper with you. The balance due on it is written in stone. Disney cannot change that. If they made a mistake it's their problem if you have it in writing. So make sure you get that confirmation paper in the mail and hold onto it with your life.

THANKS!! Disneyfreaks!
I didn't think they'd be able to practice business in that way. Its nice to hear that your ressie stands!! Have a great trip! :)

mickeysaver,

Thanks for posting that information. I was wondering about that because I saw that code on the card holder's web site. This information could save someone lots of trouble.

I don't know what will happen to someone who made a ressie using this code without the card. But, I wonder what they did back when AMEX was the official Disney card and a person made ressies for the White Glove treatment and they didn't have an AMEX card on check in?

I have heard of something similar happening to folks who used a post card rate where the offer was not made specifically to them by Disney (and being charged the full rate vrs the post card rate on check-in).

When I am checking in, the last thing I want to do is have an argument with the CM about my room rate (even if I prevailed, it wouldn't be an ideal way to start to my vacation). And, when I am dreaming about my upcoming trip, I don't want to worry about possible trouble. I'm thinking that if there are other rates out there that are just as good, is it worth the worry?

-DC :)

Pretty much...

I'd say call to confirm, once it is in print it is yours but don't worry, a game of letters gives you exactly the same rates as that code meant to be "unique" for card holders. The code may be but the savings aren't.

I also read on some boards that the same code was posted on the WDW website and not listed as a Disney Visa Cardholder code. If management made a mistake, they should could correct their mistake - but not at the expense of ANY guest. That's why I think they should establish a new code for Disney Visa Cardholders, so they get their "fair share" of discounted rooms, and others aren't freaking out because they may have unknowingly used a code they weren't suppose to have access to.

and when is the code good till? We are not going till Oct.
Thanks!

The code posted on the WDW website was AEF, but the discounts matched CZF. I agree that they should honor any reservations they made by mistake. I just don't understand why a company like Disney continously makes mistakes like this. Their communication to their employees is horrendous. How many times disney store promotions got messed up.

This code is good until 07/03/03, reservations by 04/26/03.
