Urge Everyone to Check on their ME Booking

When I called Disney to add a request on our two room reservation that we booked using the Best Rate program, we discovered that the ME and flight info had been lost. The CM mentioned that there seemed to be some glitch with the system losing ME bookings if they weren't booked as a package. But I urge everyone to check with Disney to make sure they have you down for ME and your correct flight flight info at least 30 days prior so you get your tags, etc.

(Call 1-800-828-0228 to save yourself time, I always seem to get right through using the 800 #, and money.)
 
If and when you call, get the name of the person you talked to and also at least ask for a written confirmation.
 
I noticed when I checked my BRP confirmation online that my ME date is right but the day of the week is wrong. I called and asked about it and they said they had put in Jan. 2005 instead on 2006. She didn't change it and said it was okay in on their end and not to worry. She didn't change anything. I am worried because if she could see the wrong year on her computer, how can it be right on there end? :confused3

OT: Generally you should not be making reservations or purchasing things on the internet unless you know how to "print screen" (more steps than pressing one button) and thus get a written confirmation that way.

I didn't make my reservation on the internet, but Disney has "My Vacation" on their website, where I can look up my reservation, and my DME info is there also...

Couldn't agree more. They have messed up my yellow tags twice and I don't even leave until Friday. Turns out I will have to give my airline bag check ticket at the DME counter w/a description of luggage and they will go find it. Things got messed up when I switched resorts 5 weeks ago and also added a room only to the front of my pkg. I will still be calling last minute to make sure they still have my reservation.

My ME booking was wrong on the website as well, they switched my arrival and departure days! But when I called them they said the web page displays things wrong, but all the info was correct in the main computer. That's a bit annoying, but I guess we can't assume the online itinerary is correct.
 
I haven't switched anything but also called and they had my ME scheduled for the wrong days. I've called back twice since then and it is ok... but I am only 11 days until I leave and I would really like to get my luggage tags before then. It is freaking me out a little 'cause I live in Canada and it could take longer to get here. All of the ME FAQ says that they send out the tags 21 days in advance. The CMs I have spoken to on the phone however say that they send out the tags 10-7 days in advance which I feel is barely enough time...
