Upset with Walmart ship to store UPDATE

I ordered two Lalaloopsy dolls for one for each of my DD's for Christmas. I ordered them on November 13th. Was supposedly shipped the next day.

One has came in but they can't tell me where the other one is… just that it was shipped and is on a truck SOMEWHERE.

Of course now the dolls are all sold out or prices really high on Amazon.

I did site to store to save the shipping and now it is really costing me.

*****Update: I finally found one this morning at Toys R US, they got 3 in last night….I am currently on hold for Walmart to cancel my order**** Lesson Learned on my part.
 
Well the good news...we have 5 weeks until Christmas!

I hope it turns up. In the meantime, have you checked any bricks and mortar stores?
 
Walmart can take a really really long time for shipping..I bought DS the ToyStore 3 bedding set because it was WAY cheaper online but it took like 2-3 weeks to actually get to the store....have you checked package tracking on your order??? When you sign onto walmart.com??
 
Yes, I spent the day looking. I finally broke down and ordered a twin pack from Toys R US as a back up but it is 40 more dollars than I budgeted but I don't know how else to explain that Santa brought one doll but not the other.

Oh, it was the number 1 item on both girls list and it was a reasonable number 1 so I thought I had ordered it early and didn't want to take the chance of not finding it in stores.

I do hope it comes through, but when I called they kept wanting to refund my money and cancel the order so I don't think it is promising.

There is one target 50 miles away so available but I really don't feel like driving 100 miles for it.

Yes, it says in transit. It hasn't been updated since two days after I ordered it.
 
Did they actually look in your store? My mom sent DD a package for her birthday and had it shipped to the store to save $0.97 on the shipping (no comment, next time I'll paypal her the s/h). They couldn't find it FOREVER, it ended up being under the counter locked in a drawer next to the register. :confused3
 
I was there today to pick up the other one, and the lady was really nice and looked, she also called the main office to find out but it is no where to be found.

I was hoping it was going to be in the same box as the other one but it wasn't. I am hoping now that black friday is over it will turn up quickly or I can find a replacement and return the toys r us one.

That may well be the problem...black friday got in the way.

I haven't picked up a ship to store...is it in a clearly labeled box that they received? DH ordered DS's bike that way...but that was a large item. He has already hidden it, so I don't know how it was marked, hence my question.

Yes, it has a printed label on the box. I thought I had ordered it long enough before black friday. As soon as they mentioned it, I ordered it.

Now I am wondering if someone didn't scan it in.
 
I've had problems a couple of times with Ship to Store, one time the exact situation you described - I never got the "it's arrived at the store" email. After a couple of weeks, I called the 800 support line about it, and they made the mistake of telling me to call the store to ask if they had it. Umm...NO! It's your process that has obviously failed - YOU call the blasted store and sit on hold for ages while they try to find the item!!

About an hour after I called the support number (and told them what I thought of their suggestion that *I* call the store), I suddenly got the "it's arrived" email. :rolleyes:

Have you checked the status of the item online? When I've used the service, there has always been a stage between the initial shipment and arrival at the store - I'm thinking it shows as being at a sorting facility or something sort of similar. Does your item show as having reached that stage? If so, it's probably at the store and just lost somewhere (the stores don't always seem to scan items like they are supposed to when they get them). If not, it probably got lost or held up along the way....
 
I did a site to store item for DHs X-mas present a few years back and it took ages for them to locate the package. I probably waited an hour for them to search the back, and they kept asking to see my order form. I was persistent that it had been in their store for two weeks + already and therefore it should be found in a reasonable time. A threat to ask for their manager quickly turned it up, in a bin behind the counter none the less.
 
I had an issue with something simlar a few weeks ago-- they had shipped one of 2 bean bag chairs for my daughters' room.

After a while, I contacted customer service about the issue, and they re-ordered it. I had it 2 days later.
 
the item is out of stock now so I can wait it out or get a refund. It is in transit, it says it is in Lauren, SC.

the other one went to Laurent,SC then Alachua FL and then to my store.

I feel it has been stuck on a shelf somewhere and won't make it here. I am going to give it another week and then get a refund.

So now I am going on the look out for a LaLaloopsy doll with pink hair, thankfully the twin pack has one it in and if I can't find a single doll, she will just not get something else I had planned for her but not requested.

BUT I will NEVER do there site to store again for something like a gift.
 
I have heard so many stories from people with problems getting items shipped to a store, I just always choose my home when I order online...that way it is just between me and UPS!

I was shopping yesterday and saw these dolls (a lot of them) at Toysrus and Target. They had single dolls and twin packs. I remember because in each store my DD started singing the theme song from the TV commercials and it stuck in my head all day.
 
They must be popular here, I went to Toys R US, Target and 2 Walmart and not a one to be found. I am hoping they will restock before Christmas

They are., and I believe its the blonde one thats getting impossible to find. Stores seem to be getting on 1 vs 20 of the others.


I am so glad my dd doesnt want them.. she says the eyes freak here out.:confused3
