Just got off the phone with UPS and they are starting a so called investigation.. I just want some of my souvenirs:sad: i guess i just have to wait but we had a great time last week anyways

I hope they find it. If not, you could try calling WDW merchandising and they might reship it for you.

My package that UPS lost ended up on another street but had our house number. It was addressed correctly to our house.
Those folks were on vacation and luckily my phone number was listed on the top of the package. When they returned from vacation they called me and I drove over and picked it up. These people have ended up with my packages 3 times so far this year and the street names aren't similiar!

Then I called UPS again and gave them a piece of my mind.

And I use that example every time our driver asks why we don't ship our merchandise to our customers via UPS.
Gee, because USPS hasn't lost any packages that were shipped to ME? Or crushed the majority of our customers packages unlike the packages that arrive at our house via UPS?
Can you tell I'm not a UPS fan.

I also hate UPS too. When I was pregnant I was on bedrest and had to order maternity clothing online and have it shipped. Anyway, the driver would always throw it over my next door neighbor's fence thinking it was my house. And every time I'd have to file a complaint. Every. Single. Time. And my neighbor wasn't a nice person and didn't give me the clothes either.

i know what you mean.I've had two disney store shippements send back because of breakage and or damage. They have to date never explained what happened. Disney store.com were great replaced the damaged items and gave me a $10.00 online gifts card. By the way the replaced items were delived with in three days.

I ordered some Wolfgang Puck gift cards from Costco to use in a couple of weeks and they could not be shipped to my PO Box - where we live there is no USPS delivery so we HAVE to have a PO box.

I had to have them shipped to work - it was sent through UPS. I did not receive them when they said they were delivered. I went online and it showed that they got delivered to our post office :confused3 but our PO has a policy of returning anything that does not have a PO box on the address line plus they do not do deliveries!!!!

Luckly the lady that sorts the mail likes us and put the envelope in our box - I was freaking out about not getting the cards in time since it is our first night dinner :scared:

Call WDW and don't mess with UPS. I know when my Amazon pkg got lost, they sent me out a new one and THEY dealt with UPS.

This is OT but I wanted to tell you we order WGP gift cards from Costco too. If you have AAA you'll also get a 10% discount.

Maybe it wasn't that he wasn't a nice guy... maybe he liked your taste and the clothes fit him... I ain't gonna judge. :rolleyes1 Did you by chance see him walking down the street in a dress that looked familiar???

I loathe ups, i rather have my stuff shot out of a canon in my general direction then to ship ups. But you don't usually have a choice.

Wow we must have one of the few good ups then I love it. They even go out of their way to put my stuff out of reach of the stupid dogs- of course one look at the hard and they can probably see they'll tear it to shreds, our last time package this week ups guy put the box under a big Rubbermaid tote we had out on the porch (no idea why the kids took it out but it came in handy )

USPS screws up horribly around here but could just be the mail man.

My friend works UPS and told me that the drivers have quotas. Shame. Lost my stuff last year. Called Disney first...they reshipped. Called my friend ay UPS. Found my package even though they said they delivered it. Called Disney back..they said Merry Christmas and to keep it. And my friends wonder why I love Disney

USPS is terrible here, I hate dealing with them. And some companies now have this crappy shipping option that they use where something starts out with FedEx or UPS and they deliver to the PO then it's up to the USPS to deliver when they get around to it. I really hate that one. Amazon did that on a Prime shipment of mine, pissed me off. And Forever 21 does it, you get that option for free (waiting for items ordered on the 5th right now, it's sitting at the PO waiting for delivery. And my branch will not allow =me to come pick it up, I have to wait until they get around to it) Their expedited option for shipping (only other one) was over $20!

YES!!!! I hate that! Amazon started doing that and really stresses me out. It's awful. I have to say we moved and our USPS is much better- it's the same town but different carrier. I just still don't trust them.

And the PP about disney store awesome customer service- I had called last week because my package hadn't shipped yet- I ordered a bunch of stuff during the labor day sale the Friday before and it hadn't shipped yet which is unusual. I know they say standard is 7-9days but I've always had mine in that time not still waiting on it to ship. It was stuff for room gifts for our trip we leave for on Wednesday. I said to just try and cancel it bc It wouldn't ge here on time. The woman said shed contact me on Friday to lmk the status. Well this was Wednesday night. Friday- my package was here! They apparently found it and over nighted it instead of cancelling (dh would've rather it been cancelled lol and have the money)

Another time after Christmas the singing rapunzel doll stopped singing Christmas day and was skipping . I contacted them to see if it was a defect or battery issue (had read a lot of defect reports) just a couple days later a new one was on our doorstep!

Just curious. Did you do that to the Customer Service person who took your original call? Or to the supervisor who called you back regarding your complaint?

I have good and bad experiences with both USPS and UPS - so I have the local numbers stored in my phone. Neither company is thrilled with direct inbound customer calls :lmao: but if the service were perfect I wouldn't be calling.

what a shame hope they find it. once when they delivered they gave to the wrong house the person was going to keep it. finally we got it they were in too much of a hurry to check correctly. anither they said they could not find the house this is years after we lived here. new drivers are the problem. lost could mean misdirected. good luck was it insured? dont think they would but ask for a trip to disney to replace you items.

That's why, when we ship our luggage wwe always use FedEx. Never have had a problem with them. Cannot even beging to recount UPS issues!

my last FedEx delivery (software) came in a box that was semi crushed. ALl I got from the driver when i mentioned it was a grin and a wave! Thankfully the software itself was okay but it's package was also crushed. Customer service is a thing of the past!

I used to work customer service (about 5-6 yrs ago) at UPS.... including the "Lost Package tracking" department.

I can tell you that there are several reasons a package may get lost, and you can sometimes tell what likely happened based off the last information you see when it's tracked. If it's showing as "Delivered", odds are it's a driver issue. Could've been delivered to the wrong place, or some other problem. sometimes the clue could be in the comments (Such as 'left at side door', or 'left with neighbor'.)

If however the last scan was anything in Transit or "out for delivery", It could be almost anything. A popular cause is simply that for some reason, the shipping label fell off. (Sometimes if it wasn't on tight or had a loose corner, it could snag and be ripped off by another package or the machinery). When this happens, UPS's standard procedure when they locate a package they can't figure out where it's supposed to go (no shipping label or anything written on the box), Is to open the package and look inside for a clue as to where it's supposed to go... .such as an invoice, or something with the address. [if you ship a package, it never hurts to also put the address on a post-it inside the package]. If that doesn't given them a clue, Then it gets sent to the big Lost and Found warehouse and a detailed inventory and description of the package contents are taken and put into a database.

When you open the investigation on the lost package, They'll ask about the contents of the package. The more detail you can give them, the more likely they'll locate the package based off that inventory taken when they open the package.

Unfortunately, one thing I learned is that all those "In Transit' scans you see, and even the "Out for Delivery" scan, don't always guarantee that they physically had your package. There are certain points in the system where the package will be physically scanned, but the other "scans" within the tracking data are more often than not scans of the container which the package was supposed to be placed in. For any number of reasons, sometimes it won't end up in that container but you'll still see it moving within the system.

One other thing I'll note..... often when a package is located, either thru someone finding something on or inside the box with your address... or via a match within that lost and found database and your package description.... They'll end up printing out a new shipping label to get it to you. This new label will have a new tracking number, so you might end up receiving the package even if you don't see anything via the tracking number.

(Oh! and another thing I'd recommend.... If you shipped the package via a UPS store, staples, etc, instead of hopping online and printing out your own label, I'd recommend contacting the location you shipped the package from. If you can prove the value, even if you didn't insure the package UPS will/did usually automatically include up to $100 in insurance on every package, but that claim process is handled thru the shipping account. There are also times when there may be a clue on the box (such a partial shipping label still attached) of where the package originated from, but nothing to indicate it's destination. In that case, they may return the package to the originating location assuming that they will be able to resend the package where it was supposed to go. In either case, it wouldn't hurt to inform them of the situation in case they can assist)

I had a bad experiance with fedex just this week i sent a box to my lil brother the day before the box was supposed to arrive we got a call from the police departmrnt askin was there any thing dangerous in the box. I was cinfused & told him i was sending my brother power rangers toys(he's 9), michael jackson poster, binders, pencils notebooks & other school supplies. I gave them permission to search. Still have no idea why there was a problem. Smh
