the delivery of my rebiff for my MS never gets here the way it is suppose to. it is either sitting in hot sun all day, delivered to another house on another street $ 4 times, I was lucky the people that got it brought it right to my house. Now today I worked till 4:30, no medicine when I got home, called UPs, they say it was delivered, was it, did someone steal it...the funny thing is this medicine, a shot is made at Serona Labs in my town but my insurnce makes me get it from Curascript in Orlandp Florida, that save insures a little money, my medicne in over a thousand dollars a month, I am so mad to think if they did deliver it someone took it, I get alot of kids that walk by here, to think they got 12 syringes of medicine that do them go, what it they try it, I hate UPS, I hate these insurance companies that dont worry the person that is getting the medicine. Thanks for letting me vent, I hate life:(

Sorry about your meds. Im suprised your driver can driver release meds. Tell them you dont want it left on your door, you want them to have someone sign for it. If they dont want to just keep filing claims pretty soon they wont leave it there.
Do you know your driver?? Many times the guys will go out of their way for their regular customers.
When we were on vacation Fed Ex left a package on my door step that said must be refridgerated. Well my neighbor saw it, and that it wasnt for us and took it to the house it belonged to. Fed wanted her to sign a waiver she got the package.

I got mad at them a couple of years ago when they left a camcorder outside the door. We were in a new neighbor hood and the houses across the street were still being built. But they wouldn't leave a box from Lands End (slippers $29).

I called them to complain about it and was told that if the sender doesn't require a signature then the package gets left at the door. Camcorder didn't need one and Lands End required one. They started doing this years ago to cut down on drivers trying to find a neighbor to sign for it and leave you a message. ( read $$).

I'm sorry that this seems to be the case. When you call on your next order, tell them that a signature is required on delivery. Hopefully it won't happen again.

I dislike UPS. Packages arrive all beat up and crushed with the boxes half open. I have watched the UPS guy drop packages on my doorstep and my neighbors. I am sorry, but I pay for them to ship my packages and I am not getting what I paid for.

Our family refers to UPS as "OOPS"

Mt2 your experiences with UPS sounds like mine with Fed Ex. One year they left a $2000.00 dollar computer on my doorstep, but wouldn't leave some little article of clothing I had ordered! We were just lucky it didn't rain that day.:(

package for the lady of the house

I recently switched my cellphone service to AT&T. They fed-ex'd the phone overnight. They delivered it to my neighbor across the street, no signature required. The phone was activated, all you had to do was turn it on. I ordered a case about a week later for about $19. They required a signature! I was at work. The first day, they left the door tag on my next door neighbor's house, no one lives there. Our house # is very clear! Why can't they get it straight! The next day they left it on the right door, I signed it and finally got it the third day.

For something like that, can you have it delivered to where you work?

Thanks for the laugh. I just eat dinner with 12 of my immdeiately family.

Cassie that is exactly what I am going to do, the funny thing is when I get packages for stuff for my house I always get it there but I just didn't think about my meidication, now I have to call Tufts ( which they are useless too, but they want their money fast ) to bed to see if I can pick it up at my pharmacist....crazy world we live in, thats for sure :D

I won't use UPS. I've had nothing but problems shipping with them. The worst problem happened to a package my aunt sent though.

She was sending a bunch of items to a friend. For some reason instead of using a plain box my aunt used whatever box she had around, which happened to be a small appliance box. She had it wrapped in plain paper, but UPS made her unwrap it and just have the address on the waybill. They did not ask her if she wanted insurance on the package, and she didn't think to ask about it.

UPS delivered it to the wrong address. I'm not talking off by one number, I'm talking completely wrong. Right city, but that's all that was right.

In fact the address they delivered it to happened to be a plant that dealt with defective items. When they got the box they just looked at the appliance pictured on the box - didn't even check the shipping label to make sure they were supposed to receive it - and then TOSSED IT IN THE CRUSHER WITHOUT OPENING IT.

The plant claimed no responsibility for destroying the box, since as far as they were concerned how were they supposed to know it wasn't meant for them (uhm, the label maybe?). UPS refused to take responsibility for misdelivering the box, stating that my aunt should have bought insurance if she wanted the item protected.

Another box she sent had obviously been opened, as she had included a video and I think a birthday card in there along with other things, and when her friend got it the video was a cartoon and the birthday card was a kids card from "uncle someone" and at least one item from the box was missing, so one presumes that the contents of the box somehow got mixed up with the contents of another box. Now since this was going across the border it's POSSIBLE that they were opened at customs, but it's also possible that they were opened somewhere else along the line.

I've received several things sent by UPS that were just left out in the yard. Sometimes the back yard, sometimes just on the front steps.

Just curious how much that item that your aunt sent was worth. UPS automatically insures for up to $100. Check into it......P

I was just going to say that :D Amberle3--were you home when they lef the items in your yard? My driver many times will leave items in the back or try to "hide" them in some way if they are driver release so the items wont be stolen. Many do do this because they have so many packages on their trucks they cannot go back to homes multiply times where someone wasnt there.
Im not saying all drivers are the best but most of the guys work their butts off--over 10 hours a day, with trucks so full they can hardly get in the back to get the stuff out and no a/c either. Up north its probably not that big of a deal but here in Texas its unbearably hot.

If your package is classified as meds with UPS they have to get a signature. They are not allowed to just drop the package. I would see if your shipper can change you over to UPS.

UPS isn't perfect but then neither is any other shipping company. I'm sure we can all find problems with packages we've gotten.

But then again, I may be partial to the brown truck since DH drives one.

We want to race the truck! People love the truck!
