I was looking at my (measly) Upromise account today, and I saw something again about linking a credit/debit/check card. I thought about it, I almost did it, but then got weirded out about entering my info. I know in reality it's probably not much different than making an online purchase. Probably. Has anyone done this? Does it help? Do you actually "save" more?

One other question-- I'm enrolled with Visa Extras through my bank, can I only be enrolled in one, or can I be enrolled in both?

I did it years ago and never had a problem. I believe it's to track some of your purchases that aren't tied to a rewards card...like purchases at the gas pumps, restaurants, etc.

We did it years ago & have been saving since. It is not much.

One nice thing - you can (at least a few years ago) via their website, have a message sent to family & friends. They can set it up so that their credit/debit card purchases add to your savings plan. My sister did this for my kids.

And we have never had a problem.
